Its half sunk in with me and I can't believe how excited I am about it all. I literally feel like I'm 12 again some days It just feels a lot more reassuring knowing that money will be at hand, more professionals are running the show off the field in every department, more talented players are incoming and freddys grip is all but gone. Stability is a key aspect I feel we'll be experiencing in the years to come. General development and building upwards, not sidewards or backwards like in the past.....*does irish jig* And before people say 'Ah but we said that last time, I don't believe it til I see it, we ARE nufc remember, anything can happen, etc'.......well yes but we've been through all of that before but never had this kind of positivity to help motivate us again. If we lose, we'll analyse everything over and over, if we buy a dodgy player then we can replace them much easier now with larger funds, if players keep getting injured then we'll scan them a million times with our state of the art technology....know what I mean? In the past our worries were generally well founded. Today, I just feel a lot more reassured of a brighter future.

http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/1657/luquereleaseta7.jpg gaaahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahah holy fuck I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. the little pinata seals the deal Glad you approved, was bored tonight reading this thread I feel this Barca trip has totally came out of the blue....Sam said on SSN that he believed Owen's future has been talked about and is settled so I see him staying. As for Oba, I think he'll also stay as I believe he has a faithful heart! I can see Arse putting their bid in and Oba responding by saying "Thanks but no thanks, I've already said I'm happy at Newcastle and I want to carry on my good work here." In my ideal world anyway... I just can't see Eidur fitting in unless the striker situation changes dramatically in the coming weeks. I hope it doesn't as I'm very happy with what we have right now. As usual, I'll keep my eyes on it all non-stop until the season begins....fingers crossed eh

Hah I know, I'm goin to have to resize each player to 1 pixel by 1 pixel by the end of the summer.........hopefully

From the way Owen's played since he's been back from injury I wouldn't get my hope's up about him this season. Jesus Christ. Was that sarcasm? Hahaha, the sad thing is hes dead serious
-
Martins knows how to do the business for us up front now. Hes proved he can survive in this league and do so much for the team. Name some other strikers who will get us 17 goals that we can realistically get? We have our top trio of forwards right now, we are ready for the new season in that department, why risk it all?
-
You just have to realise that he won't be on his own next season. He'll have back up, he'll have better midfielders to thread it through and possibly do a lot of the hard work for him! With hopefully a solid defence put in place that would put a lot less pressure on Oba to score so many and with Owen/Viduka working beside him, it can only be a good thing. I hope to god he stays. I'd be so disappointed if he left.

Yes. Instead of hitting left foot/right foot screamers into the net, jumping to flash the ball with his head for goal, racing clear with blistering pace, chesting the ball down to hit the ball first time on the half-volley,... he should have laid the ball safely back to Carr to swing a high cross towards the goal... Haha, spot on. Can't believe you muppets want to see the back of him........WTF!
-
Yeah but Wenger signed Jeffer etc. Only Jeffers? I heard he bought a few other decent players too in his time..
-
I agree. People have just lost the plot now Ashley has arrived. Players like Oba are a rare breed and Sam, plus his new coaching staff, pshysios, etc are the ones to get the best out of him. Oba, Owen, Viduka up front next season would be fantastic! people have such short memories.....*sigh*
-
I can't believe what I'm reading, how can you lot want to get rid of Oba?! Hes fucking quality, very young, powerful, exciting, fast and scores loads of goals! Couple that with the fact he scored 17 basically up on his own surrounded by shite last season? I just don't get it. Gudjohnsen? fuck that, how many goals did he score last season? I bet it wasn't 17...
-
Hey Arsene..... ....FUCK OFF.

Read about this in the Ronnie on my lunch break today. Very impressed!! A player of his calibre for free is fantastic and I can't wait to see him get stuck in. ITS ONLY BLEEDIN' JUNE, WOOP!

One comment that really impressed me from Sam was that he always liked to check the background of the player. Once he had signed, then he made sure their family/home life was going well enough. He likes to check up on the smaller and often over-looked psychological states of the players. By that I mean he wants everyone to be happy, motivated and raring to get out on the pitch come match day. Couple this with a top class health and fitness policy then there really shouldn't be many problems to overcome. I have total faith in Sam and realise it will take time. A lot of fans may see the £50m figure and get their hopes up to unreachable levels, which would spell disaster but we have to wait a while before results will become consistent. One thing that we MUST NOT forget is the position we were in with Roeder. We are now in a very lucky position at the moment so I hope everyone realises that and is thankful in a way, I know I am and its hard to contain my excitement. A very interesting summer continues.... blueyes.gif

LMFAO oh I'm cringing, is there a larger version of this photo?!
-
Try putting his name into Youtube, I just watched some highlights earlier and he seems a solid player with personality.. I'd welcome him here but maybe theres other people who've seen him play more regularly? if so, share your opinions
-
mackems.gif So predictable, any reason why you took exception to me mentioning the extra penny per share when far worse was said against Shepherd? Was anything about him hanging on for the extra money not factual? Would anyone oppose a specific 'NE5 / Mick' subforum so they can go at each other without annoying the fuck out of the rest of us blueyes.gif

I disagree, there was no protest whatsoever when he left and most were in total agreement he simply couldn't cut it anymore. Its amazing how people tend to forget how average he was. I would never resign him in a million years, hes shit.

Now take a few deep breathes...enjoy some mary jane and let the sweet sounds of Sam sooth your mind :bng: :toothy4: Hey, are you sure there will be enough space for all our signings this summer in your signature? Yep, I'll make them all fit on somehow! Oh and you just saw Rozza outside of SJP on SSN just now, he was being approached by some old grandad trying to get a signature, haha, oh oh, did I say grandad? .....I meant tramp
-
Why of course, he had me design the cover http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/9996/samandmikesalbumgm3.png

Fuck no, I'd rather try a disabled frog in our back four
