People have such short memories. I'm sure there will be a valid explaination for this but oh no, all of the knee-jerkers are instantly GET RID NOW, OBA OUT. What a joke. None of you know why hes absent for Nigeria but you still jump to conclusions and stamp your feet on the ground

Ban who. Take a look at this. http://www.tmcnet.com/usubmit/-irish-bookies-take-gbp10m-punt-sunderland-/2007/04/13/2507216.htm (The Northern Echo Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) SUNDERLAND'S new sponsors have revealed how the club's Champions League aspirations helped seal one of the most lucrative sponsorship deals outside the top four English clubs. "I see Sunderland as Premier League winners, Champions League winners, " said Boyle, :idiot2: :idiot2: :idiot2: Jesus. Talk about Hype-tastic.........everyone needs to walk the walk before they can talk the talk ...did I just say that? crikey...

What a plonker wum.. You certainly believe everything you read it seems. His backroom staff have proven to be good enough in the past and he has built up a solid friendship/working relationship with them over a number of years. You can buy in some of the best staff in the world but theres no gurantee they'll all like each other and gel as a unit at a new club. Some of the Bolton staff are also coming to the end of their contracts right now so its no harm in asking if they're available. In any case, don't you want Newcastle to become successful? I'd love to know what you'd do in his position right now.

I know right! Also coming from the Times who Owen has a column with so it is pretty promising. Still think Big Sam will not play two littleuns upfront judging from his history at Bolton, and so if Owen remains Oba might be out. Why is it that 1 player always has to fucking go in some people's eyes? Can we not have both at the same time, is that so out of the question............jesus christ, players get injured all the time and similar players play well together at many different clubs. Its not like if we play both, then we're suddenly at a massive disadvantage.

I agree. Viduka instead of Sibi is the way forward I reckon.

In the past, like most, I've been pretty sceptical on the aussie but throughout his whole career he has always impressed me with his class and ability to score. When scoring 17 goals last term I couldn't help but think he would be a class player to have in our squad and hes still 32 which isn't exactly ancient. I'm guessing he still has another 2 seasons in him at least I'd be very happy with Mark signing for free. Sam will get the best out of him and ensure he wouldn't slack. Ben Haim would also be a great free signing too, I'm pretty damn positive about Newcastle for the first time in ages, can't wait to get cracking

Just bought mine, its quality. Hopefully (or unfortunately you may say) I'm moving into a student flat this september in sunderland so I shall have to proudly show it off. I hope to make it to the derby at the stadium of plight too

£31.49 doesn't sound too bad, I'll have to check out Sports Soccer in the Eldon then Cheers for the help people :icon_thumleft: On another note, apart from when you go to the games, where do you wear your shirt? around the house? in bed? at liquid in the bigg market on a friday night?

Anyone know of any sites (or shops based in Newcastle) which has the Official shirt for the best price? I fancy LIVING THE DREAM this season and thought I'd give Sam a little bit of my dosh to get him a few players this summer

This news really made my day, out with the stinking crap and in with the replacements a.s.a.p Now just 2 more players to be kicked out before I'm super duper satisfied http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/3601/gallery3copyfb3.jpg

I left college at lunch with some mates just to watch the press conference on SSN for 1pm and I just sat there smiling like a small child. I feel really positive about our future and although we know it'll take time, I have all the patience in the world whilst watching us get our off-field infrastructure sorted out. Even if we don't spend big on players this summer, I'd be happy knowing the fact we're spending good money on getting the correct staff in and ensuring we get the best out of our players. I raised my packet of Scampi Fries to the sky and smiled with joy, good luck Sam! we're with ya!

13. part of my contract insists on me joining newcastle-online and so I relish the opportunity of hearing what all of the armchair experts have to offer

I love how all teams that get relegated whinge about the last match or 2 of the season even though if they'd pulled their fingers out earlier on in the season they wouldn't be in a position to go down. "....but but but he tripped me up in the last minute of stockage time and the ref didn't give me a pen :'( why oh why are you so mean to us, we have it so tough, no-one likes us, waaaaaaaa " STFU. Try harder next time little bitch and enjoy yer fizzy pop

Nappy Rash is far too short sighted to be taken any notice of. He can spout stats all day and whinge at the way people incorrectly answer his questions. I just don't see Sam as a quitter, I mean he was with Bolton for 8 years and seems to have a solid drive to succeed. He thinks Sam will not adapt or balance out the way his old team plays with the one his current team will play. Excuse the pun but you can't see everything in just black and white......people grow, opinions change, players will come and go. I feel Sam will sort this club out from top to bottom and will be given the time to do so. Better training methods and equipment with expert staff at hand for different areas of football to address, such as psychology or diets. Once Sam is here, he's not just going to paint some black stripes down his old bolton shirts and play exactly like he has. It would be a new era for him and a chance to go all the way. He will motivate the players to reach their potential and hopefully instill more fighting spirit in each of them. He won't tolerate the lazy bastards either. I look forward to his reign. Look at his past stats from 5 years ago all you like, but with higher placed finishes each season meaning more cash, I see a much higher standard of reinforements being brought in. Plugging our defence is key and then the rest needs a good slapping, once thats done people will hopefully start seeing some fluid football coming back to st.james and start smiling again....

I feel exactly the same. He has my full support and I'm actually now excited at the prospect of real change. It will take time we know but at least we know he's got the skills to pay the bills.......bring on the summer
