I hope Villa will be a bit tired after the journey and the match today.
-
:frantic: Any more details?

Yep, thought he was one of the main reasons Germany did so well at the World Cup. Good for him, though, that he's staying at Bayern.
-
No cover for them though. That's why I said 'desperately'.

I believe we should wait until the transfer window closes before whinging because the club has a track record of pulling deals out of their arse which no one, press nor fans, knew about. After that I plan to be indulging in some world class moaning though, believe you me. such as? Gutierrez, Xisco, Routledge, Best, Williamson etc. We manage to get a lot of things done on the hush nowadays. but why are we waiting until the end of the transfer window, after 3 games have been played, we all know it'll come down to 1 or 2 points, and you've wasted 3 games of the season to bed in your new signings! this club will never ever learn from it's previous mistakes under this regime It's not really a Newcastle thing, it's just the way the market works nowadays because of the transfer window. It's a sellers game. I maintain this transfer window idea is one of the worst things to have happened in football in recent years Not really. Just imagine Man City getting an injury crisis in March or so - they would run riot and buy everyone and had a 50 men squad (considering the squad rules wouldn't be there). It's just the timing of the transfer window that's bad.
-
Doubt he would be as good as Ben Arfa, though. And Bullard has a shit injury record.
-
We don't desperately need Campbell at the moment anyways. Coloccini and Williamson looked quite comfortable at centre back for the majority of the Man Utd game.
-
I just hope that Bullard is not the replacement for the Ben Arfa deal. It would just be another 2nd choice signing, like Best or Nolan
-
And, which player do you suggest? Edit: Might have misread your post...
-
Don't know anything about his coaching-skills. That's why I was asking.
-
we have no coaches that can coach them though Beardsley?
-
One of them, surely? # Owner: Mike Ashley # Managing Director: Derek Llambias # Club Secretary: Lee Charnley # Financial Controller: John Irving # Commercial Director: Dale Aitchison # Head of Media: Wendy Taylor # Press Officer: Mark Hannen

So... with that Hatem Ben Hughton story which was posted here before... Anyone thinks Christopher William Gerard Hughton (who's actually our manager) will try to buy his "real" son Cian James Hughton?
-
Barton shouldn't be anywhere near our starting 11 as he's utter rubbish. game passed him by the other night. You're a joke. How? Barton is utter shit and will rack up booking after booking this season while continuing to flatter to deceive. His deliveries were perfect for Carroll and Shola. From two crosses both were really really good. He certainly has a great right foot. He won't concede stupid bookings. We played Man Utd on monday, man.
-
Barton shouldn't be anywhere near our starting 11 as he's utter rubbish. game passed him by the other night. as opposed to nolan who was even worse Nolan who was knocked out by Vidic and had to go off suffering from concussion? Barton is a fraud. He's our best central midfielder.

Owen?

You're joking?

Honestly, I thought from the very first minute that the whole story of Bremen being interested in him was made-up for whatever reason. They didn't confirm it, and there weren't any Germany media reports.
-
They're saying he isn't. Who was it that first said he was ? good news for us (I HOPE) Some shit french paper.
-
So what's a more legible version of that quote? 'There's nothing in it'? Yes. Literally 'that line of enquiry is cold'. This. In German: "Keine heiße Spur." So, like you play some game (as little kids, normally ) when you're trying to search something and have your eyes shut and don't see anything, someone is saying: "cold...warmer....warmer...warm...very warm.." and so on And in that story, Ben Arfa to Bremen is "cold" = "no hot track"
-
Possible. Doubt it, though. I think they'll sign someone to replace Özil, they'll also sign Wesley, but they won't sign Ben Arfa.
-
Question was: "What about Hatem Ben Arfa? You want to buy both now, Wesley and Ben Arfa?" He (sporting director of Bremen) said: "Surely not, we don't want someone to replace Özil. Ben Arfa isn't a hot trail (don't know if that's the correct word)" There was some more talking, but he strongly denied it.

Will be interesting now, watching the preview of the Bremen match. Klaus Allofs (sporting director) just being interviewed.
