Great, another game to watch!
-
Being used as a winger/wide forward atm Expect to see him in the 'wingers' vote in a few days. Ok.
-
Why isn't Walcott counting as a striker btw? But anyway.... I would take... Shola, Carroll, Ranger and Nolan. No, seriously. I voted for Rooney, Defoe and Crouch. Don't really know who to take as the fourth striker as I hardly follow the Premier League this season.

same old betting... always losing
-
Only if you use a time machine and bring Nicky Butt circa 2002 along. Even the Nicky Butt of 1999 wouldn't even come close to my squad for the World Cup.
-
Need Chelsea to win with 2 goals ahead and also a Wigan win. I knew it would go wrong again...
-
I have voted for him, seriously. Why shouldn't England take a goalkeeper to the World Cup who isn't doing any errors, putting on some world class saves and most importantly can sit on the bench and can be brought on without a problem. He has also vast experience which could help the young keepers like Hart to learn from him. I would take him! Btw I also would love the fact to have an english NUFC player at the world cup just in case England wins the World Cup (Why not Nicky Butt btw? )

Very very sad news. Condolences to Le Sib and his fam.

Depends very much on the club and the fans. We have imo a quite big advantage whenever we play at home as teams (at least in the CCC) fear about coming to SJP and we also have those shit away dugouts as someone mentionend before. I was at a stadium tour at SJP and have seen the away showers and the home showers... I certainly know which one I would preffer to use. But a club like Wigan that have 1.000 people watching them play would maybe enjoy playing at a bigger, more crowded ground and it could raise their game.
-
Would be great tbh. More a chance to get the game on TV then.
-
5 € on Chelsea (-1) and Wigan @2,52.
-
After having a great day I probably should try my (bad)luck again today in betting. Anyone got some good bets tonight? Thinking about betting on Chelsea -1 or something like that
-
Definitely, as this was the only I could have watched. Don't get Sky Sports News so I used to watch Setanta Sports News. Now I have to watch Sky News only. Is that because you have Sky TV but without the sports package? My mate has that and you don't get SSN but you do with Freeview/Virgin etc. I don't get it, its a free channel everywhere else but if you have Sky you have to pay for it? Money grabbing............... Would love to get Sky Sports or anything like that. But not possible as I live in Germany. Our German pay-tv - also called Sky - aren't showing any CCC but I maybe will buy that next season if we will be Premier League again.
-
Our new Martins probably? Our new Luque more likely.. Why? Do you think he will almost never play and almost never score?

Could this be true? :frantic:

I bloody hope so otherwise it was a waste of time signing Routledge. Will Jonas be fit for Friday ? If not I'd play Van Aanholt at left midfield and Kadar at left back. He definately looks like he could offer more at left wing than anyone else if Jonas doesnt make it. I also would like to see Van Aanholt at left midfield. Looked very dangerous going forward and his shots were good. Play him at left midfield and he will score and/or provide some good crosses into the box imo.

Our new Martins probably?

Best is far more experienced than Vaughan, albeit not in the premiership, he hopefully isnt made of glass like Vaughan either. Best might go tits up, but it might well turn out to be another piece of shrewd business from Hughton (or whom ever is setting these transfers up). Both Williamson and Routledge were suprise choices. Whilst its hardly the inspiring transfer we were looking for we cant do much wrong with it, great age, potential, power and pace with an eye for goal, failing all a good sell on if we need at the end of the season. Thought Vaughan was older, messed that up. Of course, I obviously hope that Best will turn out to be a good signing as well, I'm just not so convinced about that. Only time will tell I guess.
-
Tbh (I don't know Best so hardly can make a judgement) I would have rather signed an experienced striker on loan (someone like Vaughan from Everton or someone like that) and signed a striker on a permanent deal in the summer if we would get better players.
-
To Real Madrid, Barca or Inter?
-
Just checked that, you're right. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20091215/cardiff-clash-switched-to-friday-night_2240137_1905936 Still it should have been on TV as it's a top game of the CCC.

we should at least retire the no.9 myth. Aye, we've had some good no 9s but only 2, 3 if you count Supermac who were outstanding wearing that number. Don't know if Hughie Gallagher wore that number or not. nobody wore numbers then. Really? Seems unthinkable when you when you look at all the ridiculous squad numbers they have nowadays. Saw Bendtner wearing 52 for Arsenal yesterday William Gallas is number 10 for them, too. Aye thats daft as well. Geremi's number for Ankaragucu is canny though as someone already mentioned whys it daft. i remember ardiles wearing no.1 in argentina '78 I'm a traditionalist. Should always be GK 1 RB 2 CB 5 CB 6 LB 3 RM 7 CM 4 CM 8 LM 11 CF 9 CF 10 imo anyway. not going to happen in these squad days and there were always some curious ones even back in time...ray kennedy no'5,keegan striker n0'7,heighway right wing no.9. you forgot the mighty Nicky Butt no 22 tbh.
-
Does Hughton show he cares about NUFC after not giving him the number 9 shirt or is another striker around the corner?
