He’s good but not a CF. Other than Carroll we still have no CF who can lead the line in the truest sense of the word He is a centre forward. Watkins, remembered his name. Take James point to a degree, he's not a Carroll type gonna successfully fight for hoofs with Bruceball but then neither is Armstrong, which was the point. Watkins physically better suited imo, reminds me of Calvert-Lewin a bit.
-
If we're going champo it would have to be the lad at Brentford. He's gonna be good imo.
-
He's loaded with pace, it's literally what his game is about. But you are right about not being an out and out striker Premier League pace or champo pace? There's a big difference.
-
Armstrong cannot play central striker in the PL like, doesn't have either the pace or physicality imo. Last thing we need is another striker that's not a striker ffs.
-
First bit of logic from someone. We've literally spent the last year or two trying to sort out wages and recovering from massive contract mistakes. £1M a week for a 33 year old and people can't see the issue. you're as much a marketing machine as a football club these days, you'd make a shitload if you signed messi and might actually win something decent while you were at it but yeah crack on with martial and kids like greenwood etc. fwiw i do understand your perspective, but it's fucking messi
-
it's an overused word these days but the level of privilege is quite astonishing

:lol: I mean, he was. He was completely anonymous. I'm not sure why everyone is acting like he's 28. you're judging an attacker by what he did in a game where his defence conceded 8 ffs i mean put messi in our team and yeah he's not gonna rock the world but put him in liverpool, man city, man utd, chelsea and maybe even arsenal and he'll win the PL golden boot by a fucking mile man Also, other players will learn from him. as long as there's plenty of pace around him messi will be fine, his use of space and ability to pull strings will see him last a lot longer at the top than many seem to think imo his next move is more important for him than ronaldos was in that respect due to his physicality, messi needs to choose the right setup to extend his career...who knows maybe he chooses italy for that very reason due to the pace

Fraser signing I've no qualms whatsoever with personally. Pacy which is something we need more of. Armstrong though

Koeman told him his influence and privileges with the team have stopped. So if Messi wins this battle, does that pretty much mean Koeman has lost both the Barcelona and Netherlands job? Did he sign the official contract with Barcelona? I don’t see how the president leaves? Him and his team have to pay off the clubs debt out of their own pocket should he resign now - can he effectively go on gardening leave and pave the way for a temporary government so to speak? I didn't know that the president and his team have to pay off the clubs debt if he resigns. But if he steps down next year, does that mean he is still accountable for the debts or he is excused as it is the end of the term? Didn't know that either but guess it explains the Pjanic deal as they were saying that was done purely to balance the books.
-
On the striker front I wonder if they're hanging their hat on being able to let the likes of Bournemouth sweat to get King/Wilson off the books on the cheap. Sounds like the type of garbage strategy these fucking morons would pursue.

we're just jelly

There's a strong rumour that a faction at the club want to force him out (messi). To get the wages down? Absolute insanity. And a large fee, they are financially in the mire at the moment. if this leaving for nothing thing happens he's going to absolutely ruin them
-
Only dip in this thread occasionally but do recall it mildly irradiated me him posting them after the game because I wanted to copy them Assumed he didn't want em jinxing.

Koeman told him his influence and privileges with the team have stopped. they should sack that stupid cunt for gross incompetence as well then
-
i mean if you're messi and bartomeu doesn't immediately resign or get fired (if that's possible) then you're away like
-
Koeman must have really fucked Messi off like Bonkers how they've got pretty much everything wrong for about 5 years now, just astonishing levels of ineptitude. Hope he leaves them for fuck all, they deserve it what they've done to the peak of his career.
-
Said this last week. Even if it's a £10m loan fee or whatever it'd be far preferable to going into the season with what we've got. Could see Chelsea wanting to sell him this time mind.
-
Both of these are assumptions based on probably's and maybe's. At their peak from what we've seen from both, Lewandowski has performed better. Ibrahimovic hasn't come close to a season like the one Lewandowski just had. It was an opinion based question
-
same, looks good but not top class to me He's a massive upgrade on Alonso in a back four. Even if Chelsea are paying over the odds they're strengthening their side and that's what it's all about. Didn't realise he was 23 actually, thought he was 26 or so, got time to improve a lot as well

ibra would be better for a poorer team imo, lewandowski will achieve more (in terms of goals) in a a better team than ibra imo
