He's been let down so badly like. Sickening.

What's your cut-off though? First game of the season, or whenever we get 100% proof the takeover isn't happening? Just not watching unless the takeover is done. Think I'm the same, but not sure yet as I'm still invested in liking quite a lot of the players :/ Almiron and ASM for me. Maybe Schär and Dubravka too. Christ our squad is average. Yeah love ASM & Dubs, really like Almiron, Schar, like Hayden, Lascelles, Lejeune and plenty of time for the likes of Clark. Lot of decent characters and likeable players.

Arsenal don't need attackers like, ffs. They need to absolutely tear their ridiculous defence and midfield to shreds and build a new one.

saw a rumour about trying to sign Rose, typical of this useless cunt that we'd be going for players like that

this is a good summary, in fact i'd have some sympathy with the PL if there was any track record of MBS interfering in PIF and what it gets up to but as far as i understand it he's handed it over to the lad al rumayyan (sp) and he is in complete control, have never heard anyone suggesting MBS has any practical involvement with PIF, has anyone else? He's the fucking Chairman. It's about as cut and dried as it gets that he has the power to make decisions. yes we all know this, he's also the de facto ruler of an entire country and incredibly unlikely to be fucking about deciding who NUFC sign on a daily basis which is why he has someone running it as prophet says then just reject the bid if this is the issue no? or approve it and the first hint he's secretly playing football manager 2030 in the background then apply the test for the next season, which they're supposed to do anyway, and tell PIF to change it or GTF EDIT: also was it man city that was bought with a proxy, he installed someone in a company to buy and ostensibly run the club? if so why would that be remotely different from an investment fund doing it? both have people in the background that could influence things

That's very disappointing, was hoping AM would shithouse PSG out of it. If anyone deserves the CL it's Simeone

They didn't pay anything. They don't have the money to according to their accounts in anycase. Odd that the article didn't seem to mention it as an issue, seems to be the consensus so will have to bow to superior knowledge

Just read an ESPN rundown of the Haas deal thing. Really weird but one thing it didn't really say was that they didn't pay for the sponsorship or whatever, just fell apart as he was a fucking basket case.

less top strikers play so centrally these days i reckon, he was always in and around the 6 yard box when he didn't have the ball but nowadays most of the better strikers around seem to be part-wide player as well kane the closest to shearer i suppose

ha same here, moved about like no ones business

quite incredible how bad ashley's record on strikers has been in his 13 years mind, it's like he's gone out of his way to make sure we only have shite ones

was honestly my first thought when i saw it, from EC winners to signing jack fucking colback

pretty much - PiF arent' accused of anything and there's little to no chance of the state of KSA being found guilty of being behind the piracy so not sure why doing what you're saying would benefit bein for legal action could see how it helps the PL bounce the application if KSA had been found guilty of piracy, which they haven't, but not bein If the PL can force the link, then it simplifies future cases that BeIn might bring against any of the Saudi actors. It seems the PL tried to force PIF to include MBS in the O&D test. By doing so, the PL are acknowledging the PIF had nothing to do with piracy, and that they wanted to bring some pirates into the crosshairs. Because, whilst not everyone will acknowledge it, we all think MBS was behind the decision to buy a football team, and he was also behind the BeOutQ piracy. And even if you don’t believe that, it seems the PL believe it enough to not approve a £300-340 million takeover. You’re right to say PIF have never successfully been found guilty of piracy (do they even have a stake in BeOutQ or ArabSat?) but that’s partly because BeIn hasn’t been able to bring action in KSA, and both PL and BeIn action has been stymied in other jurisdictions as well. The O&D test says, to the effect, that anyone guilty of a crime or would reasonably be felt to have committed a crime can’t be a director - going by the above article (or even the single quote) where would you say the PL’s definition of “reasonable” lands? And again, I don’t think the strength of their legal case will be tested (re the takeover) - because the PL doesn’t want to fight BeIn. They both want to stop piracy. but the state of KSA haven't even been accused of being behind the piracy afaik, just not doing enough to stop it and/or not allowing bein to pursue people through the courts - i'm just not seeing this MBS link at all personally, i don't see where or what it gets them as there is no chance on the face of the earth anyone takes MBS to court over piracy like and that's the only benefit for them of getting MBS linked isn't it? you could see there being more mileage in that from the other directors of PiF as wasn't one of them tentatively linked to it in some way? but they were offered that and refused apparently, idk surely they'd not be so bold as to claim him ordering the khashoggi murder constitutes a reasonable crime and disqualify him on those grounds

He has had a S*n column for years. Morally bankrupt I'm afraid.
