  1. Always said I could live with an amendment to the stadium name that keeps SJP in it providing they pay a fucking mountain of money for the privilege that then gets spent on the team. But that's not what we're interested in for some reason.
  2. strap in son http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-agree-new-kit-7601567
  3. he signed 3 years with manyoo on arrival, so it's when he's due to finish up there i suppose
  4. I believe it is the end of next season. I wouldn't be surprised if they took the opportunity to pull out at the end of this season though. we'll see a lot about the clubs real intentions on listening to the fans etc. when that deal comes up for renewal or they're to be replaced EDIT: you're right end of next season by the sound of it http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/wonga-may-end-24m-shirt-sponsorship-deal-with-newcastle-united-10268402.html
  5. When is the Wonga deal up? I'm interested to see what they do when that expires myself.
  6. Ah no he's late aye, don't think I'm disputing that, but the chances of him hurting the guy given his lack of momentum and force into the tackle are absolute zero. Yellow for being a slow clumsy oaf but not a red in a million years.
  7. Why would he do that? If he wants to leave next year? I can see him signing a new contract with a low but not massively so buy out clause. Say £20m. Still very cheap for a player of his quality but Man Utd get their money back, make a little profit and have reason to play him suddenly. Unless he's leaving it reflects very badly on the club if he's made to sit the season out. The Valdes fiasco is bad enough. Sign new contact or rot on the bench and miss the euro championships.

    Papiss Cissé

Same here, Perez should start anyways tbh Perez isn't a main striker and never will be. He's lost when he's up top. Cisse at least guarantees you goals. This. He might be eventually but too weak now. You want him on the ball facing goal. Cisse's crap too as a lone man but he's more likely to score. He can't offer anything else anyway. He was lost up top under the agricultural stewardship of Pardew and Carver. Playing with Thauvin & Wijnaldum behind him, plus maybe De Jong in the hole it would be very different imo.
  9. Could not agree more with this. Can't get my head around people even thinking it was a red, he was virtually standing still with most of his weight on the leg planted in the ground so... argh f*** it it's been done to death already. Sad part is the prevailing narrative is he's a lunatic who almost murdered the Arsenal t*** so if he so much as bumps into anyone now his card is marked as a thug. Sorry, I don't think it's a red, it's a yellow in my opinion. But to say he's virtually standing still is a lie. He clearly goes after the ball and misses it with studs right onto the shin. If I was Coquelin I'd be very disappointed at being on the receiving end of challenge like that. It's never red though, clearly because he's always looking at the ball but to say it's nothing and play on as some have suggested is as biased as people saying he went for it to break his leg. He took the ball on his chest and it got away from him, he was barely fucking moving when he made contact like and his standing leg was planted in the ground. Studs up straight reds are usually for both feet off the ground and/or flying into a tackle at speed that could really hurt someone.

  11. I think some of them still haven't caught up with the tougher guidelines for referees concerning dangerous tackles and think it's still 1995. Going into a tackle with your studs up and shin high is asking for a red even if there is minimal contact. I had this argument on Saturday with mojo and he ended up telling me to fuck off. Did I? Honest apologies for that like. It was blind loyalty to the shirt so I was okay with it. I might have told myself to fuck off if I was in your shoes. Honestly can't say I agree with that, it's still a bullshit red and his shirt has nothing to do with that.

  13. The difference between a fan shouting for a decision and a professional referee giving it should not need explaining.
  14. I thought Taylor might make the top then saw Diaby
  15. What does saying he likes to fight have to do with missing the ball in a genuine attempt and landing on the other guys leg? He was sent off cause the ref is shite and knew he'd fucked up the penalty decision earlier, plus he'd probably had Arsenal nipping his head before the game about Mitrovic as well I'm sure. Still makes it a terrible sending off. Never a red.
  16. This was his third game man. You shouldn't be sending people off on 'reputation' after three fucking games. Precisely, but he does and it's his his own fault. It's his own fault a ref who is considered universally shit by everyone sends him off on a 'reputation' gained in less than 2 full 90 minutes of football? Nah.

  18. Aye. They were basically trying to get him in front of the Hague iirc
  19. Hardly like people are trying to find things as some sort of one upmanship. You just see stuff and its funny. I initially thought the neck thing was supposed to be a camera spying on him.
  20. 6. Tell ShiteHawk to fuck off.
  21. just noticed the angry little eye in gunnersaurus's neck
  22. It's incredible that no one outside of Newcastle can fathom quite how bad Pardew was, we've all posted something similar to this the last few months I reckon. The man was forcing people to not away from not only the club they love but the game itself. I was the same. Absolute madness.
  23. 8's and 9's for this window man, seriously? I'll go 8's and 9's for the quality of player but not the overall window, it's been a let down in terms of numbers and white booted out the door.
  24. Don't think they would. But the prices for a ticket would tumble. And there's the classic contrary for the sake of it TCD post
  25. That's all you need to be now though isn't it? Loud, controversial, needlessly antagonistic or preferably a combination of all three. Doesn't matter what he's saying, just that it will piss one group of people off and delight another.
