  1. just noticed on that home shirt they've even managed to align the crest and puma symbol with the stripes they've really gone all out on this one
  2. Still listed as overdue so assuming they have actually filed them in time the system wont update for a few days anyway. Still nothing on the Companies House website? They must be hoping that these slip under the radar and nobody will notice how they have artificially swollen costs in order to report a lower profit. Artificially swollen costs would be a good thing if it meant the club has cash reserves built up. My worry is that the costs aren't artificial and have been incurred from real cash being paid out for dubious services rendered. Fair point HF that doesn't add up though, "dubious services rendered"? are you suggesting ashley will declare a massive payment for services to KBA (for example)...unless it's a payment to one of his own companies i can't see how that's going to play in ashley's world The accounts don't add up yet. I have no idea where he's increased costs by 30%. The increase is on costs before player trading and amortisation and that though. i mean there are presumably a myriad of ways he could choose to increase costs but paying inflated costs to 3rd party's doesn't seem to fit into ashleyland like, if he was somehow filtering money into one of his subsidiaries i could understand it Whether it was to a 3rd party or to himself as an employee or to his nephew doing work experience I would call it dubious. howay it can't be something as ludicrous at that man one thing we've seen from all this debenhams bollocks and this MASH A&B shit is he's got insanely creative accounts behind him coming up with all kinds of shit, there's no way it'll be something stupid like a 20m payment to john ashley's painting and decorating company for doing the signs at SJP
  3. sounds probable to me but they're taxable though, why would he bother doing that and not paying back the loan? makes no sense

    John Carver

Doesn't sound like it to me, keeps banging on about going back to an assistant recently. Hasn't really said anything wrong in that article to be fair. bloke who knew he had it wouldn't be spending his publicity time begging for the job, i'm not convinced, i think he's fucking desperate and the latest shit about having 5 years left on his coaching contract backs it up

  7. Home shirt seems likely to be as good as we'll ever get from puma like. Can't understand why they'd not use the wonga blue for the trim, seems mental having two shades of blue.
  8. You're the only one still bleating on about the fans tbh, it's Minhosas post that we're agreeing with not the following one.
  9. He's only considered damaged goods by supporters. In the game he is highly rated. This is the original post. It implies only fans consider him damaged goods and that has affected Chairman choices. But I believe Minhosa is correct in his original assertion. Some truth to it for sure
  10. the lad started out suggesting there are reasons other than ability he's not been offered PL jobs, you then cited gary megson as an example of why this isn't correct and that he's not getting jobs because he's not very good Gary Megson is an example of the shit managers who get appointed each year in the Premier League to absolutely no fan revolt of any kind. Yet to say that McClaren hasn't been employed as a PL manager for almost a decade is solely because fans wouldn't accept him post-England? Guff. It's an absurd suggestion and it should've been very clear what I meant. Thanks for making me waste my time reiterating it again. Theirs a definite stigma with Mclaren, quite diffenrent to Gary Megson who is simply a non entity. Agreed, I've never said anything about the fan backlash so no need for Ron to keep reiterating, but Megson and all the other examples basically prove there are more than football reasons why he's not worked in the PL.
  11. Probably yeah. Rangers could challenge for the title with cursory investment and loans from us I guess.
  12. I think he has all the bits of them he wants already. Llambias was in there to make sure Rangers cut their cloth, so long as his contracts are secure I think he'll just sit pat. If they go pop again, he holds security over the assets anyway. Same, there's not enough benefit for him to push it any further really.

  14. your own examples suggest being good isn't a prerequisite for getting a PL, yet your conclusion is that he's not been given one because he's not that good i read the other posts, i was commenting on yours because it doesn't make a lot of sense, either ability is a factor or it isn't
  15. are people trying to say that mclaren is not as good as warnock, megson, poyet, di canio, pardew and sherwood (!) because they were given PL jobs? they were all fucking fired for being shit too (not sherwood yet), with the exception of pardew who would have been fired at any other club i don't really like mclaren but he's won cups and titles and has worked his way through the game, the other lot have achieved absolutely nothing in their careers with the arguable exception of warnock who has never been anything but a relegation/promotion merry-go-round type because the people in charge of clubs make awful decisions when appointing managers doesn't make mclaren a poor manager/coach
  16. When you put it like that, it's almost as if he's trying to replicate his sports kit sales with his manager appointment policy. Former big brand names devalued then picked up cheap and rebadged. Who'd have thought it, eh? the more you think about it man; run light on inventory so there's not too much capital tied up in stock etc.
  17. considering the owner this is not absurd in itself, what's absurd is we could have got garde without paying the 2m as long as we (presumably) brought in his backroom staff
  18. I'm not surprised that the Derby fans won't exactly be devastated to see him go. His team plays decent football but without goals it all becomes a bit pointless. If he comes here he might do a steady job. I can't see him being much of an inspiration but better than Pardew or Carver I suppose. as i said a few posts ago i think this is probably why we might pay compo for him....steady, not spectacular, no demands, unlikely to fail and get us relegated, reasonably cheap ticks all the boxes
  19. townsend is good again? he's nowt man
  20. An weird unhealthy obsession without a doubt Pathological need to be right imo
  21. "When asked if he had any sympathy for the Wearsiders’ plight, Janmaat said: “No, of course not. We have to look after ourselves."" good lad kind of want us to win just to exorcise the pardew demon but on the other hand it might get carviola the job....settle for a good, dominant performance and them stealing a draw at the end or summit FFS, who cares whether it gets him the job or not. We're playing Sunderland FFS, we just need to win and I don't care how. Worry about the new manager in the summer. Of course, when the game kicks off we must win. ATM I'm somewhat concerned with the wider implications of a victory. Guess the wider implications of a(nother) defeat should also be taken into account mind
