  1. "When asked if he had any sympathy for the Wearsiders’ plight, Janmaat said: “No, of course not. We have to look after ourselves."" good lad kind of want us to win just to exorcise the pardew demon but on the other hand it might get carviola the job....settle for a good, dominant performance and them stealing a draw at the end or summit
  2. I've been to Cambois. Like the village of the damned, everyone looks the same. Just Googled the place, the fucking images that come o man
  3. Saw that Bentley had retired the other day, said he'd fallen out of love with the game. Fair play to the lad tbh, sure he could have picked up paychecks for years to come through the divisions.
  4. Makes sense the more you think about, he's a very stable and steady manager, exactly what they're looking for. From his perspective he's likely to get a handful of top quality players and will be pretty much unsackable. Can see this happening.
  5. Was gonna say didn't he only cost 4m? 4m strikers crash and burn all the time, that's why they're costing 4m in the first place.
  6. played them like a cheap fucking banjo man
  7. Best part is they only get 350k prize money for promotion as well
  8. You also save the Pardew wage. Might not be a lot tbf. Seem to recall 1m per place since the last new deal kicked in, might be wrong though. Theoretical anyway but this run could get very bad indeed.
  9. Profit yes, cash on its own no. I imagine there will be some write down in player value (Ben Arfa, MYM, Santon perhaps) along with some 'consultancy costs' in relation to various club/business development ideas and some training ground improvements. Wouldn't surprise me to see costs in relation to obtaining hosting rights for the Rugby World Cup games in there as well. Of course this will all be neatly wrapped up in admin or professional fees 25m though
  10. No, no, perfectly OK to leverage your stooge onto the board of another company of which you're a minority shareholder, and then arrange deals that are heavily structured against that company in order to push them closer to requiring your financial backing and tighten your grip on said company. Everyone does it man, just business, can't see the problem. /TCD
  11. How much is each league position worth now? We reportedly got 3.5m for Pardew, there's a very strong chance him pissing about and not getting a manager will end up costing that in league places alone, if not more Useless cunt.
  12. Just seen that, how can they get away with that man?
  13. Good call http://i.imgur.com/SqU1Wuq.jpg Needs the other players done too. Replaced with some current incumbents. The axis of excrement - Williamson, Gouffran and Obertan need to be on there. In fact add Riviere to make the Matrix of shite. Needs Colback imo. I'd have had him holding the sign instead of Colo, figurehead of mediocrity.
  14. I think he's doing it on purpose to be cool. From a NUFC fans perspective - there's nothing wrong with the basics of what we think he's done with the accounts. If he was going to go on a spending spree he would do the same thing. The negativity for me is that it's an indication he's not wanting to sell. A business posting large profits with little growth screams "come and get me" to investors. Keeping it in the club is an indication he wants his own assets to have loads of cash and increase his wealth. You do yourself no favours To say there is nothing wrong is a bit of an over-simplification, context is quite important when judging Mike Ashley and NUFC. if anyone is being contrary for the sake of it it's the person wilfully ignoring the fact that he owns one of the biggest clubs in world football and is driving it into the ground while he squirrels away his money and "announces" *mediocre* profits to keep defrauding his customers

Keeping it in the club is an indication he wants his own assets to have loads of cash and increase his wealth. Jesus. That's where the negativity is for you is it? I'm a football fan, or I was, I don't give a s*** about all the financial bollocks. We have lots of cash being hidden away while the club rots from the inside out, that's about the size of it. Okay let me put it to you like this - hiding the money in the club, actually means we could spend more cash on investment than otherwise because the cash would be taxed. Declaring a bigger profit just means we give more cash to HMRC. You invest with "cash" not "profit". We have more "cash" if Ashley is playing the system. What he plans to do with said cash - he must just want to keep in one of his houses. Unfortunately, NUFC is his house and by keeping "cash" in us, he must not want to sell it. Unless someone can think of another reason? I've been skimming replies on my phone here. I fully understand all of the things you're saying and agree that in a normal business it's good practice but we know he's not going to invest any of the cash so that's that. We're a football club without a functioning team, backroom or medical staff - he can hide all the fucking cash he wants it's utterly irrelevant if it's going to stay there forever as is the money "saved" from HMRC.

  17. He is a cunt. But not for being creative with the accounts. That's my point. Keeping cash within the club would be brilliant, if we actually planned to invest it. The only incentive he has for posting a large profit is perhaps enticing an investor/someone looking to buy the club. Clearly, that's not the case. Er yeah, keeping cash within the club with no intention of spending it on players just to avoid tax is what makes him a cunt. That's precisely what I've been saying the whole time.
  18. Fucks sakes, there was me thinking the man was an absolute cunt. Pleased you set me straight.
  19. pardew is the worst i've seen on every level, it's not even a question in my mind, he is literally football poison
  20. Fairly standard practice for a business with a sole owner. Not "hiding money" but creative accounting. Maximising Profit in accounting terms is only something a business looking to appease Investors looking for dividends does. Ashley isn't looking to sell either. I've said this before in the thread but "Profit" is merely an opinion and is open to legal manipulation. Giving HMRC Cash however, is a fact and one MASH will be looking to avoid as much as possible. Again, like a lot of your posts when context-free it makes perfect sense, the context here is that Ashley is pissing all over his customer base in order to make the profit and then hiding it Utter cunt of a man.
  21. Isn't he the only other manager to steer us into a CL spot in our entire history?
  22. Aw man, is the working theory they've hidden the money to avoid paying tax on the profit? Absolute dirtgrubs man
