thing is freefall is entirely possible. Next 3 games are vital because after that the fixture list turns horrific and by the time Leicester wba QPR etc games come around the confidence could be so badly destroyed from losing game after game after game that I wouldn't fancy our chances anyway. 7 points minimum needed from Hull Stoke and Palace to be sure of safety, I'm not exactly confident on getting that 7 points. yeah i agree to an extent, if hull and palace beat us then we lose that 3rd winnable game we'll be desperate for something from villa at home, lose that and i agree relegation could be a real possibility if he gets one win in the next 3 games we'll stay up though

on paper it seems extremely difficult for us to contrive a relegation like hull, stoke, villa, swansea, leicester, west brom, qpr & west ham - there's enough points in there probably unless we go into a ridiculous freefall that is
-
got nothing to add to this discussion really, there needs to be a campaign somehow in the next 4 days to get as many people as possible to cancel DD's and not renew their ST's

Arbitory date that isn't soon. See we want to be like Villa, Arsenal, Southampton in our 3,4,5,8 year plan. Apart from linking it to when Rangers might be in the Champions League, I wondered whether they just came up with a date to quell the disquiet at the time. If the fans think he is on his way in a couple of years, then they will put up and shut up for the duration. absolutely this

We're all about the future. Planning the swimming pool while the house collapses into a sinkhole.
-
And then fucking leaving to let some other poor cunt deal with it
-
assuming this is real, interest in laudrup (mutual) maybe he's done a year in qatar and isn't too fucking impressed? can't think of another reason he'd be keen to come to us

I've just watched this and it's so horribly true it's unreal, our club will be nothing more than a shell until Ashley goes and why people still pay pounds notes to go and support this charade is beyond me Although it's horribly accurate and true it boils my piss that they wouldn't have even blinked at this if Pardew was still here. However, regardless of the turn of events it takes to get to this point, we're here and people are finally asking questions. I found the last line pertinent too "you can't put emotions up for sale." Well said. wasn't keen on the player replacement bit in this tbh, saying the manager would have to just deal with selling a player and then handling whatever player comes in to replace him like it was a massive negative...this was pardew's absolute failure really, but there's no reason why a competent manager can't adapt to the loss of a player a season (if that) and then handle whatever comes in to replace if it's quality the likes that carr is getting the club are right to install this system if they believe in carr and can find a good manager who is happy with it, the issue as always is not selling our players it's not balancing the squad when it's needed in the eternal quest for "value", i.e. wanting top quality product for fuck all and signing players we don't necessarily need at the time due to said value

I actually went looking for the release fee from Mainz when I posted this, but couldnt find it. I guess Mark Douglas saw this link and tracked down Raphael Honigstein (also interviewed in the above article). http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/thomas-tuchel-outsider-revolutionary-who-8510749 Subsequently, he came up with the €15m I was looking for and probably also put his two quid on at the bookies while he was at it. Cheers Mark! is there anything at all to back up the 15m euros thing?

Ashley will be creaming himself, pockets the bonuses this season. Flog Sissoko, get a new manager for nothing in the summer and we stay up, plus the money he got for Pardew... Guess who wins again.
-
Just had a dream where Pardew was a bus driver and I feel asleep on the bus, when I woke up at the stop I couldn't remember if I had a bag or where it was so fucked him about while I searched the compartment underneath. He wasn't helpful but wasn't a total cunt either, grudgingly helpful I'd say. I didn't find my bag then he fucked off. I guess what I took from the dream is he should stick to being a bus driver cause he's miles better at that than he is a football manager.

the shit on the chalkboard got me real good man, Big Bazza
-
while i'm tempted to agree i think we should not forget who he's been getting these chances under, pardew and carver, and the style of play and quality of coaching both display if we get a decent manager playing a decent system in the summer and he still doesn't flourish then aye he's not taken his chances
-
who do we have in charge of promotions and marketing man? jesus christ

Wouldn't complain if we end up with a Perez quality manager. Of course, but you take my point. Perez is a bad example I suppose as he's been a ludicrous success that few predicted. Point being of the young, up and coming managers around De Boer is top of everyone's list, there is just no way Mike Ashley's NUFC go all out and get him. None.
-
We are not getting De Boer like He's like the playing equivalent of Aubameyang or Lacazette and such, we're linked with moves for top class but end up paying 1.5m for Perez. No way the club will go for him.
-
fuck it would be amazing if they didn't pull the usual, predictable shittiest stunt that we're all expecting and announced they've secured a competent manager
-
He's not as tood as you're making out VI. Reading their forums there are quite a few Ajax fans who can't wait to see the back of him (too defensive minded for their liking). That's like us complaining about dropping below 65% possession though. Fair enough, but I've really been impressed by them in Europe. They've outplayed us often, at our own game. big jump from ajax to to barca these days mind, whatever way you look at it
-
Not sure about all time but 9th is their highest in the PL. 11th, 9th, 12th and currently 9th. sorry i suppose i should have said it would have been their highest ever finish had they achieved it
-
is 8th not the highest finish in the clubs (swansea) history?
-
Man, waiting until the summer seems likely now then, is there not someone who isn't carver we can draft in for a few months?
-
You can't have De Boer on the same level as the other two imo. 1. De Boer (love everytime I watch his Ajax side) 2. Tuchel (no idea how his teams played though) 3. Laudrup, Garde that's my god damn prefo Flipo Kanji, can you please let Flip tell you what you think Just trying to enlighten an american on how it should be. A bit like if Kanji told me something about what hamburger is the best, I'd listen cause he's american. In this case listen to me. So if I have a question about shanghaiing girls from favelas and selling them to Saudi princes, should I seek you out for advice then?
-
could explain the delay, well it could in dreamland where the club have a preferred manager and go all out to get him
-
wiki says he signed a 1 year deal with the team in qatar, which might mean it is a possibility tbh
