  1. There has been an over reporting on this takeover, but does this not seen a bit murky? There are a number of individuals that have been linked to having some sort of involvement with our club and there has to be some personal gain in it. PIF for example are looking for a 4-5% yield on investment for shareholders through their investment portfolio and there seems to be a small market for people to influence the deal. When Kenyon was looking at the deal having investors that were openly advertised to get involved just seemed a bit dangerous - it was reported DiBello is due to profit from setting up the deal with PIF back in February. I'm not saying Mike Ashley, Justin Barnes and Lee Charnley have been any better financially but the unknown surrounding this deal is concerning. The alternative view is perhaps this is just the way football is going - you sell the soul of the club (product) to the highest bidders and the £££ moves between small circles of billionaires... #1 priority is get ashley to fuck, whatever happens after that happens i couldn't care less we need to come off life support
  2. wtf - are they intent on burning the club to the ground?
  3. Tough call. My memory is that Elliot was a consistent 5 but Darlow could range from 3-6. It's close. Darlow would make more obvious and consistent errors, whereas I think Elliot was sometimes a bit slow getting down and didn't command his box. what was that very specific goal where elliot went down in bullet time and the ball was at normal pace? he should have been finished right at that point imo I remember that, it was a goal mouth scramble wasn't it. And the ball went under him? Was trying to think of that the other day fucked if i can remember the game but just remember how slow he went down

  5. Agree, they talk a good story but not a chance on earth would they part with money to save themselves , let just sit back and laugh at them .Im actually stumped to think of anything to not laugh at them it’s actually a very boring rivalry now. Just a knowing snigger at them . And there we come to the crux of the problem with Sunderland AFC. They can bleat on about how the club is the literal lifeblood of their town, their whole identity, and how all they want is PL football in a PL stadium. Just as long as it's all funded by a weathly owner and they don't have to pay for it themselves. It's a poor town man. Pull yourselves together. They have delusions about their status in the world but if they had the money they'd show up imo.
  6. They will have to show that PIF, a separate legal entity, were involved in piracy, if the can’t then the takeover will go through. what are you basing this confident post on? Read the last couple of paragraphs of this report. https://www.footballlaw.co.uk/articles/newcastle-united-fc-takeover-and-the-premier-leagues-owners-and-directors-test there's a lot of sense there, however it kind of ignores that the PL are allowed to reject "if they believe" (or words to that effect) that an applicant is guilty of something and the massive unknown here is just what pressure/influence exactly qatar is throwing at this...PL execs will be as corrupt as anyone else, if they're being bought off then that'll be that fwiw i've always thought they'd approve it and still do

  8. bit of a pardew factor though, if it goes on much longer with bruce he'll probably be irretrievable
  9. Has nowt against the takeover though, just the saudis. he's obviously just reacting to the amount of shite he's had off our fans probably, which doesn't testify well as to his professionalism mind
  10. that spanish crowd thing with a little noise made the game miles better to watch imo
  11. like colback a symbol of the despair in the dark pardew years for me, not good enough to be at the club but hanging on for their lives get to fuck
  12. man reading the replies on that twitter post - why the fuck are blokes so obsessed with having an opinion (and sharing it) about how they think women look? it's weird af
  13. they have https://theathletic.co.uk/1861798/2020/06/11/televised-la-liga-virtual-fans-crowd-noise-ea-sports/
  14. Indefinitely think that's naive on the part of the buyer personally, at some point the questions will stop being asked and from then on they're not going to sit there in complete limbo for no reason whatsoever as they'll know it'll be a piss take being driven by qatar in the background
  15. MBS on the board of PiF like - just get a commitment for "the state" to crack down on beoutq in all it's forms would surely be enough, they don't have to admit to being behind the fucker
  16. alonso? wouldn't he be closer to rafa's aimar or vicente? never saw coutinho as a CM personally
  17. anyone really think KSA will let themselves lose publicly to qatar over this without a fight? given what's gone on in the region recently honest question mind, they might just walk away?
  18. logic points to a climbdown on getting the football shown in KSA without either them or qatar looking like they've backed down or lost somehow, hard but not impossible imo
  19. joking aside (sort of) can the don manage to hang onto them another season the way things are? legit question, he's already down £10m into that dell company right? how is he going to fund another season ffs
  20. love to fucking see it, karma apparently doesn't like paedo lovers
  21. it's the bullshit thread, where you indulge the bullshit
  22. be peak ashley that like, to have demanded as part of the deal that he announces it so he can go all tory and spin his actions as benevolent for the club in fact wasn't there a report ages ago that he was itching to make an announcement on the takeover but the saudis didn't want him to?
