2 outstanding posts on pardew this bit in bold is what gets me as he was at it all last season, not once, not fucking once did he try to affect change through better tactics, coaching or team selection...he was content just to follow the rut into oblivion all the while crying for reinforcements in janaury
-
he doesn't seem to want to mind, though i do agree
-
what point are you making about robson/pardew now HF? it's honestly hard to follow
-
yeah this was the point i was going to make about shepherd, it wasn't all gravy but for the most part he understood you need to be winning games on the pitch and improving year on year or you go backwards it was just his execution really
-
I'm just bored of every utterance being criticised no matter what. No matter how happy or forlorn he is. No matter how honest or deceiving. No matter how factual or misleading. FWIW i don't think he should resign for any of the board-mouthpiece bullshit, i think he should resign for saturday
-
oh dear god
-
so he should be, he'll get crucified whatever he comes on to say tbh

Eh? Everyone's opinion is valid, just think it's incredibly arrogant for people who have stopped going/never been to decree that not attending is the 'right' thing to do. think people are suggesting solutions that might break us out of the artificially-induced football coma we're in tbh, don't see the point in getting precious about it if you think the best solution is to keep giving your money to the club with no sign of disapproval whatsoever Again, apart from the full throated, stadium-wide "get out of our club..." the booing the Kinnear lacerating and the pitch invasions. That was a sign of disapproval. 50,000 people shouting hate at kinnear the fucking dupe who was put there in the first place for that very reason 50,000 people turn up the following game disapproval indeed

i don't think we've plumbed the depths of last season yet personally
-
tiote woeful for a very long time in a flat team playing long balls from CB tiote makes slow improvement and starts to look a good player again in team that passes ball around and has some movement tiote looks fucking terrible against sunderland at the weekend it really, really isn't difficult like
-
i think this is it personally, a message needs sending regardless of the fact that people have paid for the ST's already last 5 home games: everton, palace, manyoo, swansea, cardiff...not that any of them matter but they're games people could walk away from in the most part, especially the last 2 the season is beyond over, it's the absolute perfect opportunity for a coordinated effort to get people to not attend those home games and fill them with fear for the future the alternative is continue on as we are

everything wullie said as regards the Hughesy (iirc) post about anyone else doing better i've been saying for ages this season is one of fine margins again because he's a margins manager - he's got a good away record this season which is is helping paper over how shit we are at breaking average/poor teams down at home, even at home against some of the poorer teams a number of results have ended our way when they could easily have gone to the other team (stoke) or ended in draws (fulham) based on our performance quality everything is still based on a tight defence and individuals winning us the game with brilliance if we're being honest, the same way it was when we finished 5th, now it just looks prettier - it is utterly unsustainable and now one of the best individuals has gone we'll no doubt struggle to the end of the season, then unless he's given more match-winning individuals in the summer then we might be looking at a repeat of the relegation struggle so in summary maybe martinez wouldn't be exceeding 8th place, although i think he would, the problem with pardew has been the same for ages and taking his 'performance', i.e. points, this season is missing the point with him entirely i'm personally similar to venkman as well, this place is the last tie to the club and team for me - when i'm at home i have to bust my chops watching games in the middle of the night and ruining the days that follow being fucking knackered, decided i'm just not going to do it anymore tbh 'til pardew is away
-
They are all idiots - but most of all, they are ALL scared of offending Ashley, either because he might ban them or because he might sue them...huge wealth always talks.. To be fair they all laid into Ashley on the Sunday Suplement this morning... it was Pardew who got away with sympathy. think that's the point being made dude, they're as thick as pigshit if they're not specifically pointing out pardew's failure yesterday staggering the people who eat up the shit he comes out with
-
if he's getting 5m what the fuck would he want to be manager for? what a load of bollocks
-
I've said a few times that I don't know what the fuck Swansea are doing sending him out on loan. fallout apparently, big time
-
he's proving himself a very good player now this lad like, hope they don't manage to sign him
-
sound familiar? we've been f***ing s*** at home for ages man, we look OK against the better teams but anyone coming to keep it tight and do us on the break it's nothing but an utter struggle and we've been very lucky to win some of the ones we did Yeah, it does sound familiar. I'm not defending Pardew, man, I just don't think Poyet's all he's being cracked up to be. What is Gus Poyet cracked up to be? No one's claimed he's Gus Hiddink, he's a lower league manager who is worth a punt if you are looking for someone to do a job on the cheap. he might well become more tbh, seems sure of himself which is always a good sign and he's had top level experience as a player far too early to call imo

their movement got me yesterday, forget at which point of the game it was 'cause it happened so much but they were piling forward, streaming ahead of the man with the ball time after time looking to attack and score more goals we don't even do that when we need to score goals, never mind when we're 3-0 up, which we never are
-
you really just have to break it down into what he got right and what he got wrong imho to make people see, let's try: right: picked 11 players, debatable imo if he chose the right 11 but given how fucked de jong looked probably did wrong: chose the wrong CB pairing in which neither could read the game and snuff out counters, they got pulled all over the place and left miles of space for them to run into played HBA in the wrong place twice at least, even putting him up against their best FB on HBA's poorer side where he never plays well played long balls to shola against a team playing on the counter with CB's who are fine with long balls but not with skill and pace and with a deep lying DM picking up scraps as his main job kept shola on for 90 mins took sammy off again back to the long ball tactics that isolated the only things we had going for us in anita, sissoko & HBA let santon take more than one dead ball kept santon on too long at LB didn't take debuchy off who looked a fucking liability throughout there's probably more but honestly, how can you fail that badly at your job when it's your only job?
-
was weird on the replay, the ball went through his legs strangely otherwise he'd have nailed the tackle bit unfortunate in a way but should never have committed there tbh
