  1. cabaye looked well up for it when he returned from injury with the new faces in the squad like, most likely dragged straight back down into depression when he realised pardew was going to fuck it up again also the colo example is great, however since he's been here there's never been a cash-stupid club like monaco sniffing about him
  2. i like the kid, always have, but it'd be fucking utter madness to start the season with him as our main hopes for CM we'd either be great, or a certainty for relegation
  3. i think he's class, and will go on to show it if he's managed by an actual football manager, but i don't know what my reaction to this can be other than: ok he's gone/going, hope we sign someone more suited to the managers style of play that might help us avoid relegation this year
  4. tbf what do you want to see people doing or saying? there was a discussion about it in the thread the other day, everyone is resigned to the realities of football and in particular mike ashley as the owner
  5. seems very specific to be made up bullshit like, passing a medical and that with any luck cabaye will come out and fucking slate pardew publicly if he leaves, at the very least it might put doubt in the minds of MA & DL it won't like, but it'd be better than nothing
  6. fuck aye, world cup year, forgot about that...tbf if hba and cabaye want to stay with us in a WC year they probably need their fucking heads read
  7. The depressing thing is that the overall point it isn't wrong at all. Yes, there are some innacuracies in the article, and it's wrong that our supporters, as a whole, are being tarred with this image. However, a growing number of people are more concerned with huge fees for players, under the assumption that everyone can be easily replaced. A period of bad form means a player is 'shit', and we'd be 'robbing' the interested party wanting to pay £20m+ for this 'shit' player. It's bollocks. More than likely the byproduct of a generation of Football Manager enthusiasts with massively unrealistic expectations. i disagree, unless you're referring specifically to what's said on this board, but in general i think there's an acceptance from fans of the realities of football these days...we all remember keegan having to defend the sale of cole on the steps but no-one gives enough fucks now because they know it's ultimately futile the club isn't the fans', nor is it run for the fans, and the fans know it EDIT: what i'm saying is it's not just us, it's a wider thing...spurs sell a fans favourite every fucking summer after swearing to Odin they're definitely not going to but nobody cares, another player will come in and either be as good as the old one, better, or worse....it's irrelevant 'cause they can't change it
  8. fuck it i'll say it, there's a point in there somewhere for me about how players are more disposable nowadays than they were before i'm not saying it's a good article but it's not 100% wrong by any means

    Papiss Cissé

cisse is probably on a beach somewhere drinking a mojito's and snorting coke off a strippers hipbone completely oblivious while NO implodes
  10. you can't nail down a position like, this season has shown how tight the margins can be, but with the players we have we should be challenging for 6-8th to the end of the season imo anything else is failure i expect with fucknuts in charge to be having a passionate love affair with the bottom half again mind
  11. anyways i'd say 'potential-wise' we should be pushing 6th-8th all season as an absolute minimum securing PL status in game 37 doesn't count
  12. how about some basics inochi, such as the potential to string 2 passes together on the ground with team of full internationals, or coach the team to attack and defend effectively as a unit? maybe the potential not to struggle through EVERY FUCKING game no matter who we're playing over the course of a season dunno, just me like
  13. i'm really, really fucking jelly

    Papiss Cissé

we'll be here in august man, carrol will be a month away from fitness then and still a liverpool player
  15. I don't understand can be so violently averse to Bent. I rather not sign him personally, but he's always been a decent player. well he played for the mackems for a start next he's proven throughout his career he can only play as a loan striker, seeing as we've already got a better, younger version why would we bother? maybe those 2 things
  16. the only person who doesn't know cabaye should be heading a midfield three is fucking pardew
  17. you mean you don't want our paciest, most athletic and mobile CM standing in front of the defence trying to tackle people Ronaldo? you know nowt man
  18. really when you look at that for sissoko, cisse, benny & cabaye i'd say all of his criticisms (so to speak) are all things that could be fixed by a better manager
  19. 6ft 4 - done deal good point IP, you'd have to assume willo is gone and they believe taylor isn't up to a season anymore (which is true)
  20. he was outstanding before the leg break aye, can only assume he's not been tearing out the championshit or he'd be linked with moves all over
  21. back to the argument about ashley and dekka not looking beyond their own noses...there are good quality players from the far east, signing at least one of them would almost certainly lead to some potential sponsorship deals from said countries but these two twats would never bother their arses on that same note, which is fuck all to do with this thread, i'm kind of surprised we're not making any deals with french sponsors tbh...well i'm not surprised, but logically it's something we should surely be trying to exploit
