he def out of contract? be amazed if we managed to land him if so
  2. No, I'd play Sissoko, Cabaye and Marveaux right now but ideally we'd buy someone capable of getting goals who is also able to receive the ball from the defence, keep it, give it and move. He'd replace Marveaux most of the time. goals aside your problem with anita is his size right? he ticks all the other boxes still see no reason he couldn't do it if we were a pass and move team really
  3. as much as i can see through pardew and how poor he is there's little doubt in my mind this season won't be repeated, only way i see it is if we have a tricky start with fixtures and start badly mid-table awaits
  4. they should play 5's from the moment they return to pre-season training...fitness and 5's
  5. agree with lotus, if he has a style of play it's to fire it forward at the earliest opportunity which worked miles better with ba
  6. I agree but I was too scared to post this myself! His style is safety-first and conservative a lot of the time, but I don't think he's a long ball manager or much like Pulis at all. he doesn't have a style man bolded is all he know and favours, football firmly comes second, and as we're seeing if you don't coach good players into playing football as a team they rapidly become a nervous pile of shit and resort to treating the ball like a hot potato
  7. I think if we had someone other than Jonas on the team we'd actually be a decent possession based side. Not the managers ethos though. He likes going forward quickly rather than the probing approach. no reason he couldn't have it that way, it'd have to be something he stumbles on rather than develops like
  8. christ alls we need is a coach who can teach pardew how to play counter-attacking football effectively...well not teach pardew more usurp him and then take over pardew could have his safety first approach if he wants, he just needs to adapt it into something effective instead of something limp and impotent as we had last season...and don't anyone bring up the 5th finish as that won't be repeated, i'll bet my fucking house on that we've a good set of players for a counter-attacking game imo, if coached properly
  9. someone needs to help the cunt out
  10. Exactly. Such a waste having him so deep. It's counter-productive too because he still wants to play his game, and he's more liable for error with so many more players in front of him. He always seems to be collecting the ball in a 5x5 area just over the half-way line, with loads of opposition players around him. Aye, he's great at beating players so he manages to get away and release the ball sometimes, but it would be nice to have him collect the ball with some space to run into for a change. he's just a selfish cunt tbh
  11. He has 7 or 8 French, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Argentina, Dutch internationals around him, what more does he need? He looked so unfit at back end of season and overweight, just generally had enough. Think he produces mint youtube clips but having watched every game he has played for us I don't see enough on a regular basis He needs them to stop admiring his play and actually move about, give him options. I swear most of the time Pardew's plan is "Give it to Hatem, wait for goal". tell it brother
  12. we've got enough good players imo
  13. is the right answer, we need to see him playing in a team where he has consistent attacking options before you can credibly accuse him of being selfish
  14. Don't understand this thinking at all. The only compelling reason to sell him is his fitness record, and this is the first time he's fit going into pre-season and has a good chance of getting to top form. Previously I'd seen him and Krul as our only untouchable players from the selling point of view. With HBA, he needs to develop more of a team mentality and not always try to win games on his own. Watching his comeback this season, I've lost a bit of faith that he's going to make that transition. He seemed to be making the same mistakes. I mean, this is basically why he's playing for us and not Arsenal or Chelsea. He's got Eden Hazard's talent, but not his attitude or football brain. I'd love to hang on to him, but no longer at any price. howay man surely you understand there's a reason for this?
  15. aye, and our manager spends most of his time talking about the defensive side of his game..even if he stays we'll always be watching a cuckolded HBA under shitforbrains That's some harsh criticism. If you watched the CL finals you would've seen both Ribéry and Robben tracking back to help their respective full backs. It's part of the modern game and he just has to adapt. ok, i get that what everyone is saying, but generally when these great wide men are tracking back they're playing in teams that attack fluidly and send midfielders streaming forward so everyone has to get back under our *cough* system we invariably have everyone else in the team stood behind watching HBA try to skin the other team on his own so the comparison doesn't stand up for me if pardew is going to play it as safe as he does then he could definitely afford to release HBA in my humble opinion he's 'cuckolded' as i put it not only for the defensive duties he's asked to perform but also from the impotence of the system around him
  16. not going to be able to post anything positive about our on the field activities for quite some time i think, the thought of that fucking knacker keeping his job after last season has broke me and yeah 5th finish HBA and early last season HBA were great, agreed, think what HBA could be like if fucknuts built an actual team and gameplan around his ability and had people running and moving off the ball and shit...second thoughts, maybe don't
  17. aye, and our manager spends most of his time talking about the defensive side of his game..even if he stays we'll always be watching a cuckolded HBA under shitforbrains
  18. saddens me to say it but he might be best gone and replaced with someone more suited to pardew's game, same for marveuax agree with TT, if we could fleece monaco all the better....it'll be a sad day but we should cut our cloth accoring to the fuckwit we've got in charge perhaps
  19. seriously? can't see that like...they'll finish top unless RvP gets a serious injury imo
  20. these discussions going on all over the board and they're totally pointless, apart from jonas, willo & shola i honestly just about all of our senior squad are "good enough" in principle but they'lll never be deployed correctly under pardew 'cause he hasn't got a fucking clue cisse is a double-figures striker and there's no reason whatsoever gouffran couldn't be with his pace and movement problem is the midfield contribute absolutely fucking nothing in goals, very little in the way of service, and fuck all in movement to help the strikers out so yeah in principle gouffran could be quality, but we'll soon get a reality check when him and cisse are alone running at a back four surrounded by the opposition defence while the other 9 outfield players stand and watch
  21. what an utter pile of shite that whole thing is, the man hasn't a fucking clue
  22. what else is there though, honestly? needs a german style tear-up of the game from top to bottom then maybe we'll have decent team before we're all dead, but we all know this, never happening
  23. Pretty much. 90% of the players in that promotional photo have the look of absolute cunts. well yeah, but i meant in terms of talent really
