more intrigue for me, now that we're signing another 4/5 footballers...wondering how pardew is gonna play it, can he possibly, possibly have them all playing shitball still? my gut feeling is he will be then he spouts about playing football the right way, what possible excuse could he have for not doing it now?

By the time the second goal went in, the Newcastle owner, Mike Ashley, had left – his seat, definitely, the ground, perhaps. Derek Llambias, the Newcastle managing director, was similarly absent when Adam Le Fondre cast a city into despair. Llambias had returned by the time Andre Marriner signified that Alan Pardew’s side had lost their 10th Premier League game from the last 14 they have played. There were jeers to greet the confirmation of defeat. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/match-report-adam-le-fondre-leaves-alan-pardew-floundering-8458566.html

mind if we get burned on this transfer we should probably just give up and start snaffling up championship players
-
just glass half full/empty, you're choosing to accentuate the positives while many of us can't really see them anymore with this manager i think without pardew we have enough to stay up with the existing playing staff personally, it all comes down to him because he's the one that's really causing the damage here make no mistake
-
i do think a win could still change a lot of things for us if it comes, but the chances of it coming at villa are slim and obviously the 2 games after that are virtually impossible...by that time we're 26 games in and will be right in the shit manner of the win if it ever comes is big for me too, if we go up in a game and pardew pulls another trick like yesterday i'm not sure how much it'll help - we need the players to believe they're better than and able to beat other teams, they seem to really need to go out and give someone a right fucking but pardew just won't allow this

hate the attitude of fans who can't accept what they're seeing with their eyes, what on earth are you basing this on? Who can't accept it, like? What a bizarre thing to say. If I want to stay positive and support the team in the same way I've done for twenty odd years, that's my choice. Not everyone has to be reaching for the razor blades just yet. I've seen enough, even in yesterday's game, to know that we can score goals. I've also seen enough to know that a new centre half will make a massive difference to our defence. Add a new, competent striker and Hatem to our team and I think we'll put in enough performances, in spite of the manager, to get the points required to stay up. i used the word accepted as you used it so your reasons for believing we can stay up are a new striker and CB plus HBA returning then? interesting, 2 of the 3 don't actually exist at the moment and it'll be a massive ask for HBA to turn this on his own, but i sincerely hope you're right

@ the whole post, but can you imagine paying him 13m to get to fuck?

shola x 11 /pardew

another reason to let him go now; if he stays and we struggle to stay up the likes of cabaye etc. will have had a season of horribleness behind them and a limp to the finish under pardews negativity if we bring someone in now who'll let them play and attack, and we stay up, there's at least a slim chance they might get carried away with all the positivity and not necessarily angle for moves unless stupid bids comes in...if faced with another season of pardew i'd want out regardless of the money or division i was playing in if i had a shred of creativity in me
-
actually this is a good question, i'd say that after we lose to villa, chelsea and spurs if he's not sacked we're in for the duration fuckwits will probably give him more time after that though due to the "difficult circumstances" or whatever
-
he was fine when the defence was well drilled last season, he's probably just suffering and disillusioned like everyone else at the club would not like to see him leave unless we get a daft bid
-
everything Venkman said, pardew is more to blame than anyone or anything else this season imo
-
wonder why they're bothering flying him in next fucking week? after the remy loss surely to fuck they'd have been better flying our people there, soon as the fee was agreed sort terms before any cunts get the chance to come in and do the medical in france, sign the contracts...only need to do the registration in england but yeah deals are hard these days, so let's wait 'til tuesday to book him a flight, give sauron time to cast his gaze
-
agreed, but that's not ever going to happen so binning him and leaving the current backroom staff to run it would be a better solution to me given how sure everyone is that we can't get anyone better...
-
as a minimum i think sack him and leave carver in charge...he'd release the shackles on the players and it wouldn't mean upheaval throughout the club that'd be my fallback unless they had a decent appointment lined up, which they won't have
-
There were loads of positives today until the manager decided to change it. Pushing it a bit there like, we were competent with sparks of goodness against the worst team in the division. that's pardew's entire gameplan isn't it?
-
needed 7-9 points from norwich, reading & villa games...he can get a max of 4 now he needs to fucking go, it's been as clear as day for a long long time now...he'll take us down
-
pretty confident this never enters into the minds of anyone in power at the club, and to be honest it probably shouldn't
-
next step will be interesting, walked away from debuchy as they didn't want to pay more...hard to imagine they'll start upping things for a 20 year old WH will almost certainly be willing to offer more money as well, for the player and to the player
