so what, he doesn't finish 7th his first season you'd hoy him out? i mean i hope they do for the ensuing chaos but being level-headed about it it would be a very, very harsh sacking
-
think you have to give him some leeway in trying to implement his "system" like, also bear in mind he was badly let down in the summer market european challenge should be enough for them this season imo
-
depends what could legitimately be said to be good enough in that time frame imo, given that your talisman gerard will be more or less gone then for me this year challenge for europe next year strong challenge for europe, close to CL qual third year they should be challenging for the CL spots unless they spend citeh money regardless of what the fans think liverpool have no right to be demanding any more than that imo
-
to be honest if liverpool bin rogers they deserve whatever comes next if you ask me, he needs 3 years to at least have a solid shot at it
-
even better, manage us to 60 then retire with portugal decided
-
Just imagine what his post match interview after our Europa League game would have been. "Well Jose, it'll be difficult there and you didn't win your home match. What do you make of it?" "We didn't win? I think we won by 2 goals to zero. We scored 2 perfect goals and just the linesman and the person paying him know why they didn't count."
-
what is mourhino, 40 odd? he could surely manage a quick 10 year stint with us winning his next CL title then fucking off to portugal managers job surely...
-
imagine what mourinho could do with with the players we have man, if people are in 2 minds about pardew they should just ponder that for a few minutes
-
so he's coming back to england then basically, god i hope he gives ash a ring or his flight gets diverted to newcastle and he takes to the area in 30 minutes or summit
-
really? well it'd be fuckin madness but have at it
-
abroad where, he's done spain and italy now...is there german team with enough money to lure him so he can get his rage on with pep?
-
yeah i was thinking about gervihno today and the escape we've there, might end up being the same with remy the weird thing about arsenal is they just keep buying mid-level players for say 8-15m max and seem to think adding more of them is going to change things, it's been what 3-4 years of them doing this now? if they'd have spent the last 3-4 years money on a handful of top-class established players and kept bringing youth through they'd have been fine but as it is the scattergun approach they've had has seemingly hurt them even more and cemented a feeling everywhere that wenger doesn't have a clue what he's doing anymore it's so fucking stupid when you think back to the shape they were in when fabregas and nasri left they got 20m+ for each right? if they'd gone and bought direct replacements for the same or similar money, top class names who other clubs were after, they might not have lost RvP and could well have progressed but instead he chose to do things like spend 10m on oxlade, gervihno etc. and piss money away on santos and so on baffling

are the french even a race? -
he'll essentially have out-shanklyed liverpool can't see it though, don't see him being able to win 2 more CL's myself unless he gets insanely fucking lucky
-
yeah i guess i am too, still would rather them always lose than win no matter if it's citeh challenging them or not...it's just got to the point i can't be arsed caring if they're winning another title he'll leave eventually and the circle will be complete when they're shit for another decade or two btw someone said they're expanding the cricket ground to 90,000 now?!!
-
oh yeah of course, christ he'd probably be right to do so too he'd single handedly have ruined one of english footballs finest records if he did that, and more or less broke liverpool as a club on his own can't see them winning it tho, unless someone does a snuff job on barca for them first
-
was he the one the mackems signed from argentina for a sizeable fee under reid and he never got near the first team or summit?
-
raking in 11bn did seem like an awful lot of money for 2 weeks like...jesus that's fuckin madness wonder if it's the normal level of loss associated with the games or if we've managed to overspend ala wembley
-
think fergie will walk if he gets the CL again, otherwise he'll stay
-
laudrup to arsenal is a good shout if they bin wenger like, i don't think they'll see martinez as a big enough pull something doesn't sit right with mourinho to citeh but it would be a logical move for reasons stated who knows with chelsea man, who would want to work for them? he might go all out for klopp...has anyone in portugal had a decent season? seeems to be his modus operandi who knows at everton too? really seems like moyes should move on to me...he owes them very little now, slogged on for more than a decade now hasn't he? unless he's hanging on for a chance at the manyoo joab, which may not be beyond him who fergie goes
-
fuck that, don't bother on my account just assumed you'd know if what you've just quoted there is correct it's fuckin mental, why would anyone agree to something that would guarantee an 8-9bn loss? in fact not just agree to it, bid for it?
-
http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/how-much-money-does-the-olympics-make.html example, no idea if the figures here quoted are accurate what seems to not make sense from stifler is that he's almost certainly correct that 11bn could have been spent better, however the spending on olympics is done with a specific purpose in mind and the consequent economic benefits associated with that...how likely in the economic climate of 2012 is it that the government could get away with saying "righto, we're spending 11nb on shit" the olympics is the reason it gets spent and potentially overall it'll end up with a positive economic impact from various sources, no olympics no spend, simples right?
-
can stifler answer the question about the revenue, projected or actual, that hosting the games brought in? otherwise i don't see the point in barking 11bn all the time if it made 5bn profit or whatever...
-
arsenal are fucked, they just don't know it yet
-
wait so it cost 11bn but what did it bring in financially? my assumption has always been with these things (say euro 96 too) that the hosts spend big but are doing so to reap the massive rewards that come from hosting such an event no? if the 11bn was your classic modern britain fuckup when the initial budget was 2m or something then that's a different thing from my side, not having seen a second of the london olympics, i can honestly say that living abroad in one country and working in another the olympics had a massively positive effect on people for england and britian like, people were asking me questions about stuff they'd otherwise not have known existed the asians were mental for it like, mental, that'll reap it's rewards in the long game
