yeah, 'cause there have been no rumours of bent wanting to leave say last summer or anything have there? also i'm sure you're right and this just happened totally and utterly without any preceding discussion or warning signs...dazza was just a happy free-scoring mackem until the day he chucked in his chips also bruce strikes me as a manager who always has targets in the background, he seems to have a very wide-ranging view on players and transfers Where did I say that it all just happened suddenly? All i pointed out was that Bent didn't hand in his transfer request until Sunday afternoon - why would Bruce have been working on a replacement for a player that wasn't leaving? urgh, forget the words lined up then if it helps you sleep at night - target, i think he'll have a TARGET in mind for that price range he considers viable if he's letting bent go, is that better?
-
it's all opinions man, as i said Bruce strikes me as a manager that would have a constant 'wish list' maybe lined up was the wrong term, i suppose i meant a target he feels he can get his hands on for that money as opposed to the deal being done or anything to be honest if bent has been unhappy as long as they say he'd be a pretty shoddy manager to not have something in his mind as a replacement

He's lucky to be in the Everton job ffs. We're underperforming massively. This is the type of opinion were often accused of having, one day your going to get JFK as manager then you will beg Moyes to come back. tight table man, interested to know where everton fans think they should be this season? presumably above us and the mackems, right up with spurs... have they backed moyes enough to achieve that year in year out, there's not much standing still goes on in top flight football, if you're not developing the squad and moving forwards, more often than not you're going backwards

let's be honest with ashley in charge it's a matter of when, not if for carroll good thing from our point of view is that citeh just bought dzeko and berbatov is performing for manyoo so really that leaves chelski and spurs - hopefully meaning it's a good season or two before bids become a reality, from chelski at least redknapp is a total cunt like, so it may be sooner rather than later - if they have 30m to spunk on carroll i don't think ashley will hold out myself

If this is a joke, I don't get it.

he's as good as in Manchester, face it Face what? We'll absolutly rip them off with the fee. Wouldn't be surprised if we get Johnson, Adebayor and cash tbh. dunno, just fucking about really, don't care - you usually do well on sales like that i agree spurs should clinch CL again this season imo with chelski making an arse of things but do you think selling Bale is the right thing, even if you do get a deal like that? think it'll help you make the next step? hypothetically of course

sell a winger and replace him with a striker, neebody to cross the ball to him man, makes no sense
-
adam johnson?
-
he said they'd finished spending when they bought dzeko i thought? still, that'd be mint if they nick bale

isn't that how football clubs, and NUFC, have always worked?

Holloway is making a lot of managers look really bad. You're Allardyces, McCleish's and Pulis' who are all so damned cynical and claim it is the only way to survive in the prem without Arab owners. Holloway is playing great football and getting results with a league1 / championship side. It's unreal. Awesome stuff. will he be able to maintain it though, that's the question
-
who do they fight then?

ah i see

he was releasing the same sort of books when i started supporting nearly 20 years ago man, what differentiates them i wonder?

4 wins will take us to 40 points, and the highest ever relegated points total was 42 (West Ham), so you may be right. However it could be higher this year as even the bottom team has 20 points with 16 games to play. yeah yeah but you have to play to a target, 40 points as a minimum i'd say was realistic it would also mean west ham & wigan both need 20 more points to reach it, i.e. 6 wins and 2 draws, and wolves/west brom not far behind them...very hard to see that happening relegation for us would have to a spectacular collapse like, spectacular

me too, it's mental, what's it from? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clash_of_civilizations ah, well taking this into account: "The Clash of Civilizations is a theory, proposed by political scientist Samuel P. Huntington, that people's cultural and religious identities will be the primary source of conflict in the post-Cold War world." in a wide sense it doesn't seem he's a million miles off the mark, although obviously you have issues with the classification of Korea for good reason

4 wins for 40 points, we'll stay up man - i have more faith in us at home under pardew than i did under hughton, we've got a couple of teams to play who we should beat at home and think we will...plus we'll pick up some points on the road if we can't win 4 games between now and may, or win 3 and draw 3, then we fucking deserve to go down 1 for me
