So he's proud of having us teetering 2 points off the relegation zone by New Year, with a squad boasting genuine quality like Michael Owen, Martins, Beye, Given, Nicky Butt, Jonas. The guy's a fucking clown. How anyone can't be thoroughly fucking sick of this utter muppet taking our team forward is beyond me. Makes me vom, the idea that this is the guy who is our current pioneer. He's a knob. And i know there's no one better and he's better than Hughton, blah blah blah, but i mean someone on here summed it up earlier on. "I think he's done a better job than any of us could." Oh right, that's alright then, thank fuck we didn't appoint a total amateur from an internet message board with no footballing experience whatsoever. We'd really be in the shit then. Funny thing is Keegan had a similar record at the end of last season and most seen it as being great. are you seriously, seriously trying to draw any kind of parallel between JFK and keegan? christ man, i'm not the biggest keegan fan and think he needs to share a fair chunk of the blame for our plight but JFK is a travesty of a manager, he really is

said it before but after 11 years of shit (plus some shinola yeah NE5) i'd be amazed if one humping at home, where he was named man of the match and roundly applauded for his performance despite letting in 5, was the straw that broke the camels back just think he's taken his yearly chelp routine about improving the squad to the next level [which contradicts what i said earlier today when i said he's already gone!! fuck me this club, sometimes it just fucks with your miiiiiiiind too much ] to summarise, who knows?

caught between a few different feelings with this latest fiasco; good on him for speaking out after such a shitty beating, kinnear saying he's staying and ashley's "pushing the club on" tripe, but then as Offshore says his timing is fucking terrible, the summer was when this should have been said, the moment KK went that tells me it isn't blowing smoke, i think there's interest and he really wants away...what could ashley possibly do to pacify the guy now anyways? he certainly won't be able to provide him with the team he deserves to be playing with and a manager better than JFK who frankly should be managing a pub team he's gone, lets move on, try and get some players part ex and a shitload of money...maybe daniel sturridge & onohua plus cash? city are our best bet to fleece imo also, wonder what his team mates think of him right now? he's basically just called them all shite in a roundabout way

agree, perhaps the people who made such a stupid fucking banner & ensured it was brought to national attention should have tried it

Both Owen and Given are already very well paid at Newcastle and very highly regarded as senior pros. Owen has been offered a new contract which he has declined to accept. Shay is committed to Newcastle (on paper) for another couple of years. If either of them feel like jumping ship they should be encouraged to fuck off ASAP as far as I'm concerned. Don't want to stay guys? FUCK...RIGHT...OFF. you totally miss the point, which I continue to find pretty amazing and not just with you.....the point is that we ought to have a club where people don't want to leave for career reasons. This is like stepping back in time. Was it really all those years ago ........ if we'd won some trophies under the fat man and the addams family he wouldnt want to leave. this is the tip of the iceberg for him and a knock on effect from the souness appointment imho. ..... 2 FA Cup Finals and playing in the Champs League and europe isn't to be sniffed at though. Of course I agree the appointment of Souness was a terrible appointment and I said this at the time despite many others saying he would turn into the new Alex Ferguson just for weeding out the "cancers" because Alex Ferguson had done the same. Its only lately that Given has appeared to become disollusioned though. Or is he ? Owen is a different kettle of fish. He will basically move for football reasons if a club with some ambition makes a move for him. givens put up with his fair share of shit in his 11 years at the club and i don't think the last year, never mind the last game can be considered in isolation from the other decade if he DOES want to leave maybe he's just heard arsenal or whoever are interested & fancies a change/chance to win something

yeah but it's the oldest story in the book man, anyone worth having is gonna be wanted by others, what're we supposed to do? give up before we start (well, we did against liverpool i suppose ) Find more Bassongs. More difficult than it sounds but it's our best option. well, yeah, i suppose dennis and his team (cough, spit) should have had plenty of time the last few months to be digging up some more players eh? i still think we need to rustle up some of them but we also really need to spend decent money on some quality or it ain't gonna work...
-
if he wants to go and there's decent money being offered we've gotta do it for him and for us, harper is a very good keeper and if we could loan a couple of arsenal players plus $ as part of the deal to reinvest, or get a part ex and money as part of the deal it has be on? love shay to bits but at the end of the day our survival in the league is most important

Its staggering really, how N'Zogbia can play the way he did against Spurs for example and then play the way he did against Liverpool. The same applies to all of them. Watching us this season has been like watching a different team almost in every single game we've played. The only consistency has been in Shay Given's goalkeeping. No team playing like that can ever hope to achieve anything regardless of how good the players may be, were or can be. New players will not fix our problems or make them go away either, although they may paper over a few cracks. Lets just hope that will be enough. is it? i find a very simple explanation for his performance & that of the current darling spiderman - they were the only 2 players on the pitch for us who looked to receive the ball and do something with it, when they took it they were either faced with 2 players to beat and a totally static CM & FW line, or they were hit split seconds after taking the ball liverpool played their 2 DM's and 4 at the back and their FB's rarely went forward, they didn't need to contrast that with spurs who left wide gaping holes for zog to exploit - zog and jonas are good but they're simply not magicians and there's no way they were getting through that barrier without some running from midfield, which as we know was not forthcoming
-
or in simplified form; why were you so fucking stupid as to buy the club without undertaking due diligence first?

i know, it's mental - i just realised i got dragged into it a bit there!!

His next move is the prem. Realisitaclly speaking who's jobs could be available when he moves (which im assuing wont be long). Out the top 8 clubs who have the potential to "dominate" the league in terms of taking the top 8 places consistently (in my opinion) id say tere will be 4 available. Possibly Liverpool with the ownership issue Man City with the Mark Hughes isses Spurs with a potentially struggling Harry issue and us with our Kinnear issue. Those are the only 4 clubs who i see having jobs avalialbe in the next year or 2. Id say we would be the 3rd team he'd be likley to join if all of those clubs were availabale. I still ike those odds, im sure he's praised us in the pastm, and he still has major links with SBR which shows he still takes his advice from time to time. Whatever you say, i refuse to beleive that the possiblity,as minscule as it is, isnt there. would depend on his motive only though, obviously - he patently wants the CL again and if he wins that i thought he was headed to the portugal job? he'd only come if he fancied a total rebuilding job somewhere and i'm not sure he'd have the stomach for that again myself, maybe the desire is a better way of putting it? he's done it before i just don't see him doing it again as much as i'd like him to 'cause he'd basically have to repeat his porto trick of success on a shoestring after years of spending like a loon

You're probably getting at this and I'm being dense but Robson said we should go for Steve Bruce a few times in the last year or so.. DID HE? fuckity fuck fuck fuck still, hoist by my own petard i suppose
-
walk right up to bobby robson and ask him who the new manager should be in his honest opinion given the state the club is currently in - do what it takes to get whoever that is and stick by them for five years gotta be better than what we've been doing for the last 15 years, surely?

to fredbob & philk - are you both shitfaced or something? mourihno?

plus, you forgot, he pretty much lost every single header he challenged for down to taylor and edgar too?

How important is a decent cup run this season?
mrmojorisin75 replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
important in the sense that each game is another nail in the coffin of the legs of butt & duff, plus important as another game for our decent players to pick up an injury or suspension so yeah, very important i reckon -
seems to me they targeted a very obvious weakness in his game, i mean he was getting out jumped by lucas ffs!!
-
he's at his level, any 'higher', i.e. a club with bigger expectations he'd fail see allardyce, sam
