Just a tad extreme! I've only been watching for the past decade so my knowledge is admittedly limited, but who's been worse than Baba? http://img.skysports.com/07/07/800x600/pattison_543691.jpg jee-sus-christ that's some photo for a professional athlete!
  2. aside from the fact the chanting wasn't even about islam either i couldn't agree more more with your sentiment, PC cunts want to get fucked
  3. some of HTT's contributions to this thread have been glorious, someone needs to post a picture of a teenager with his lip out to illustrate
  4. yep, spot on - the whole season to date for duff to produce sweet fuck all (jonas too for that matter), coupla games for charlie to inspire us up the table or he's oot we're a fucking shambles if the lad leaves, sorry bigger shambles, but the kinnear said he isn't so that'll all end well eh? I think the big test will come if Zog has a good game. If he does, he can do stuff Duff couldn't dream of. If he has a quiet game, then it'll be more tempting for Kinnear to sell when he's got safe, reliable options like Duff and Jonas for the left. We really need Zog to have a blinder against Stoke. my point exactly, duff has had how many games this season? anyone remember a good one? me either some PL stats: Damien Duff 12 app, 1 goal, 0 assists Jonas Gutierrez 9 app (1 as sub), 0 goals, 1 assist Zog 8 app (3 as sub), 0 goals, 2 assists hardly an advert for any of them actually, but charlie deserves a run if nothing else
  5. Surely we should be in for him? Also some reports that Ashton's gotta be sold from West Ham, anyone else rate him (bar injuries)? at this point is replacing players who aren't really problematic the wisest move? i've not seen as much as most of enrique but he certainly doesn't warrant replacing (yet) ahead of lets just say: butt, cacapa, duff, smith, viduka, sholagoals to name a few we're already a laughing stock, i just can't see for the life of me why we'd want to start compounding things

  7. i like the vagueness of NE5 sometimes, never any commitment to detail, for example: all it would have taken to get us back to the CL under the old board & FS was the appointment of a good manager and that manager being backed (paraphrashing) the same must apply to ashley, it has to or its bollocks but the level of backing is never mentioned; i'm firmly of the opinion that it would take an investment of 50-100m before the start of next season to get us competing for a uefa spot, never mind CL, and i don't mind saying it 'cause i know its true ashley could come back, as could FS, but neither of them are in a position to be spending that kind of money the end
  8. http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,58111.msg1587486.html#msg1587486 my opinion on the rest of your post that I clipped is that its too little too late, he's been a disaster and lots of you younger guys are now seeing what the club was run like for decades before, eeeer,, 1992. Not quite so bad, but getting there. I also agree that the clubs ambition is now limited to staying in the top league. Now, THAT is "going backwards", because its a major shift in policy. But I pointed this out ages ago too. NE5 we know this, no-ones arguing with you are they? can't you just stop now, please, for the sake of the little baby jesus, buddah, krishna, allah & greggs pasties please please please, just stop
  9. Personally, I'd be appeased, but no more. If he spends money now I will think he's doing it because he feels he has to (to keep his investment in the PL) not because he wants to (to improve the team as much as he can year on year). It would take years of him regularly putting every penny of the club's self generated revenue back into the club as a minimum before I would believe in Ashley now (and that doesn't include paying off the debts to himself). Fair enough, though the bit about needing/wanting to put the money in is quite harsh IMO. I realise he's burnt many bridges but I suppose the only acid test as you say would be him not only putting in money to ensure we got out of trouble, but to continue the spending to push us further. What concerns me should that happen is the Kinnear situation. He's done a decent job in steadying the ship but fuck me, I wouldn't want him in charge of £20m spending sprees. this is why its all bullshit, not a fucking chance ashley spends 20m, even less him letting joe kinnear spend it
  10. buffons the better keeper, and 128m!! fucking hell, ashley bought our club for pretty much that amount of money!!!
  11. That is a total muppet statement. Nobody in their right mind buys a football club to make money, they are a play thing for ego-millionaires or as Ashley has proved Ego-billionairres if you want a premiership club. Every newcastle fan, myself included would love to own NUFC, but never to make money ffs We need a group of rich tossbags with more disposable cash then sense (So yanks or arabs) to come here and tug themselves off to some attacking football against the best sides in the world, end of story. cracked me up, but its right enough like
  12. agree, they're a fucking travesty if dirk kuyt wins a league title i'm packing it in man, seriously...it can't happen
  13. you'll know in January, spending or lack of will tell us what we need to know the papers are claiming kinnear has been told he's got no money to spend, sell to buy tells me all i need to know given the papers were pretty f***ing spot on all summer about what he was making available for transfers Yep, those reliable papers get everything right. Not saying we will have money but theres a direct quote from JFK saying hes been told he had money, we'll be best just to wait tbh instead of another hypothetical argument kicking off again. you've just described the summer, and the events that led to our current predicament...but yeah, lets hang fire til feb 1st and we're totally f***ed Yeah but us arguing about it isn't going to make Ashley spend money, we can have a try if you want but it'll probably be a waste of both of our time. aye right enough, but then it's a discussion board - discussing team selection & tactics never makes the manager do what we want or the team win but people do it every week...

  16. To be fair to Ashley, (assuming that he's back for good) if we finish this season without being relegated, I'm 90% sure that Kinnear will get a declaration of "utmost gratitude" and "best wishes for the future," and be shown the door when his contract runs out with a better manager to come in. Sacking Kinnear right now would have been a colossally bad move imo. You don't sack managers mid-season unless they're failing abysmally. Kinnear has proven that he's just about adequate. nah, fuck kinnear, he's a clown, sorry puppet if the mans getting nothing to spend then fine, leave him in charge 'cause no-one else would take the job anyways...that means ashleys not learned from his mistakes as i say if he had learned and decided to stay he'd realise he needs to invest, and that investment should not be overseen by joe kinnear the end
  17. best thing that could probably happen right now, IF he's learned from his mistakes the fact he's given kinnear the job for the season suggests he hasn't though, so it might as well be treated as bullshit, especially as kinnear has "revealed" it anyways the fucking gobshite
  18. I have us going down and I think it's on the cards tbh. yes, it is, if we don't start winning very very soon...battling draws are all well & good but they won't keep you up
  19. what good is the final say on fuck all anyways?
  20. Like 27 year old Coloccini our most expensive signing? I'd imagine Kinnear will be looking for experience ahead of youth to get us out of a relegation fight tbh. nice try, mid to late 20's is widely considered the best time of a defenders playing career & should the player be fit enough and good enough could easily play for 6-7 years from that starting age what point are you trying to make? the implication has always been there that keegan wanted/asked for the likes of henry which is a different kettle of fish as you'd be paying more money (10m+ easy) for an older increasingly injury prone player whose performances have diminished as his years tot up a 27 year old stalwart of the Argentinian national defence for 10m still remains a good deal for me, although he certainly doesn't look as assured as ayala or someone he could end up being a useful player for the club if he's ever partnered with someone above average
  21. 80% chance of anything joe kinnear says being bullshit and that's being very, very generous
  22. fucking hell dave you've changed your tune since the summer eh?
