Carroll wouldn't leave during his first no.9 season, no doubt. If we'd go down again, I think he'd be off, and rightly so. If we stay up and show reasonable ambition, I can't see why he would leave his boyhood club for Spurs. Maybe if Chelsea or Manchester United came knocking in a few years time and we've not improved, but as long as it's not a club always challenging for honours I can't honestly see why he would leave his home, friends and boyhood club for another club that probably will be lounging around the Europa League spots/mid-table. (Not saying we will this season, just that we should at least aim to get there in the next few if we don't go down again.)

Last night is a perfect example of that, though.

It's been like that forever, and it will be like that forever. Saying something else is utter bullshit. Football in general is a game of luck unless you have eleven Messi's on the pitch.

Blackpool didn't deserve to win, though, did they? They had something like 3 chances, we had 15. They scored 2 we scored 0. Therefore they deserved to win. That does not equal a deserved win, that equals a lucky win. What's unlucky about failing to convert 15 chances? What's so hard about understanding that even if a team win, it can be undeserved? We were by far the better team, and thus deserved to win. They were the worse team, and got lucky that we couldn't convert our chances whilst they managed to convert theirs as on another day they'd not have been that lucky. Because if you don't take your chances you don't deserve to win in my opinion. Then your opinion is wrong.

I think we would have to offer OM the fee as agreed upon (wasn't it a major stumbling block in his loan deal here?) but it would still be down to Ben Arfa to decide if he wants to sign for us or not, so it won't be a case of him playing 25 Premiership games for us then automatically becoming our player like what happens on FM. That does not happen on FM.
