The charm of the CL used to be for me that teams from lesser leagues also made it. It's why I much prefer the Europa League today, I want to watch weird teams play football and sometimes create upsets. I don't want to watch the same teams play eachother every year.

Who is the other one? Haaland and... Sorloth? He's the only one I can think of anyway although he may not make that amazing category Sure he's a lot better than he was able to show for Palace mind. If you take away managers with less than 100 games, he's 7th overall. What more can the guy do?

It's more a comment on the Premier League's dip in quality this season. If Solskjaer can have a team in its title race, then it can't be good. If Pep could win the La Liga with Barcelona, there couldn't have been good quality teams competing.

If they can’t link govt to piracy though once Bein case dropped does it even matter ? There’s nothing in the PL rule book to say a state can’t own a PL club. It’s all about Bein dropping their case against Saudi, once that happens I’m struggling to see how separation is even still an issue. The argument (iirc) the PL wants to make is that in essence the state would be a shadow owner, so the state should be the ones directly owning the club if so.
