    Marlon Harewood

Agh, i thought this died when we signed Lovelypants. I don't want him getting in Rangers way.
  2. Our target for the next few years is simply to get back in the permiership and stay there, and maybe at some point we will get some money and kick on. Saying Shearer is the better option is just a guess.
  3. So now you're comparing Strachan to Kinnear? Personally i would compare him to someone like Redknapp who only managed relegation battlers until he went to the Spuds, i think Strachan could do fine with us in the premiership, i see no reason why not.
  4. Neither had Hughton, you may be onto something.
  5. yeah indeed! you must also think Barcelona were right mugs for getting Josep Guardiola as boss! I mean they are no experiment either! Even Guardiola had more expierence than Shearer. please tell me about those experiences? which club? league? how many games? I can tell you nothing that isn't on wiki, he managed Barca B for a season and got them promoted to the 3rd tier in Spain. Imagine Shearer managing in league 2. So you want a manager that's at least taken a league two side up to league one. Well let's check out who got promoted to league one last season! nailed on to be good as Guardiola. The point is we don't know if he is good or not and would rather he proved it elsewhere. It's all very well pointing out Guardiola, i could point out John Barnes. I don't see the point in gambling at this point. So your a no to Shearer for no experience. Ok, fair enough. Who do you want as the next manager then that you think we can land? From the available guys probably Strachan. The problem is Shearer will always be in the background, this obsession some have with him and Keegan really is ridiculous.

  9. As i was saying 6 months ago i would prefer an experienced manager. Options are limited now though.

    Our tiny squad

Exactly, it's normal at this level.

    Oh dear

Just bizarre. I can't imagine Abramovich asking Peter Kenyon to streak for him. Who was at the party? Was it just the two of them? For some reason i picture Peter Beardsley chasing him with a hose.

    Oh dear

What the fuck is going on?!
  13. Exactly, i want to keep him, but we just can't.
  14. There's no way we could turn that down.
  15. Good keepers are pretty rare, i wouldn't be surprised if he turned alot of eyes.
  16. Satisfied, i didn't really expect a takeover, and i think O'Leary would be a decent choice, better than Kinnear.
  17. He looked nervous and yes he flapped but there is obviously big potential. He will only get better if he plays.
  18. Do you think that we will have financial stability when we have a team of basically untried kids struggling at the bottom of the league because I dont. I think in the long term we'd be better off than we would with a huge wage bill in midtable. Wally is spot on. Mid table could well be a reach for this squad now. There is way more chance of us going bust if we slip down another league rather than maintaining a high wage for one season in the championship. I don't understand, if we have a high wage bill for one season in the championship then we ARE bust, surely. In our current state how can we survive with a wage bill that is around the same level as our turnover? How do you know that ? Do you have an iside track to Mike Ashley or something. We will only go "bust" if he decides he wants us too. He's bank rolling the club at the moment, Administration right now makes no sense for him financially, however should we drop to league 1 then it becomes way more attractive to him. If we had hung on to all our players, I could pretty confidently say we had the best squad in the Championship and under even a half decent manager we would be favourites to go up. But as the squad gets thinner and thinner we are becoming more likely to struggle than we are to rise again. Financially a drop to League 1 will cripple us completely. No i don't, but what you've said raises more questions. The club is making losses, and Ashley is bankrolling that, yet he wants a high price for the club because he wants to get his money back? It doesn't really make sense.

  21. We can't afford to keep them, i'd probably be more worried if everyone stayed. That's an understandable comment but the one flaw is that we also can't afford not to replace them, and there is zero sign of us looking to do that. From a fans perspective I'd much rather we hung on to the players we can't afford than not have any players left at all, which at the current rate is looking increasingly likely. Lost: Owen Viduka Cacapa Loven Martins Bassong Beye Brought in: No fucker If we don't replace them we will have a shit team, but atleast we won't go bust. Right now financial stability is huge for us.
