He’s been playing for Burnley, so Steve won’t have to worry about any technical nonsense like ball control or passing.

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.

This seems to me the obvious response to the morality argument when questioned by the press. Say it's fair enough if the premier league and it's members are going to put down a marker and be an ethical league going forward, no longer dealing with human rights abusers and companies owned by human rights abusers. But that's not going to happen is it? Wraith didn't even really criticise the premier league, even when talking to a presenter that didn't seem to understand the basics, and then gave the Saudi's the "great bunch of lads" treatment.

For me it comes down to whether it has resulted in less bad decisions, and I think the answer is clearly yes it has. The problem is the same incompetents that failed to officiate games before VAR are in charge of it. Giving up on it after one season would be a big step backwards IMO.

Refs had a disaster there.

Grealish is possibly the worst diver I’ve ever seen, he makes Arjen Robben look sturdy.

The world will be a fun place when China is the dominant superpower.

Oooh Gary is not happy with Pogba. Souness will be doing cartwheels.

What a nothing season. I can’t even take pleasure in seeing Villa get relegated.

The crowd is demanding even when there’s no fucking crowd. I think Souness’ time here gave him PTSD.

A contender for one of the worst games I’ve ever seen.

That was barely identifiable as football.

Fucking hell. De Gea has had some drop off over the last couple of years.

Yeah he should’ve blocked that.

Lovely fuck up from Van Dijk.

It’s another example of why Bruce isn’t suited to being manager after a takeover, if he thinks expectations are high now (when really nothing is expected of him), how will he handle being expected to push up the table? Rafa has the opposite mentality, he WANTED higher expectations.
