I’ve had a look on both Man U and Liverpool forums to see what they were saying. Liverpool fans were surprisingly more disgraceful than the Man U lot.

I think they will hope the threat to leave will force some watered down changes, then more watered down changes later on, then more, until they get everything they want. Then when they have maxed their growth potential within the premier league it will be time for the European super league, though I’m not sure all 6 of them will get into it. I don’t think all this coming out was planned, I get the impression the rest of the big 5 and Spurs didn’t want it to come out. The cards are all on the table now though.

I'm not sure I completely understand how the current system is forcing lower league clubs to go broke to be honest. As far as I'm aware overspending is endemic down there and it's down to mismanagement and poor regulation. Poor business fundamentals and the pandemic are killing them, this would be killing them even if they were getting a bigger slice of the premier leagues money.

People like Gary Neville are being really naive about this, maybe because he’s desperate, but he’s far from the only one. He seems to have it in his head that the rescue package for league clubs is the main part of the proposal and that the power grab is a side issue that can be negotiated.

This thing looks dead in the water to me, and Liverpool and Man U have proven themselves to be scumbag clubs. I can’t quite get over their executives sitting around agreeing that they should get to decide whether another club gets a takeover, it seems like it should illegal.

I find it funny how Everton, West Ham, and Southampton would be conned into thinking they're part of the elite group, when really the "big 6" would club together and make them and their votes completely irrelevant.

Repulsive stuff, and hearing of this sort of thing is becoming more and more common. It reminds me of the Juventus chairman earlier in the year saying Atalanta shouldn't be allowed in the CL over a big club just for having a good season.
