Delaney is a quality full back, mate. The problem is, he is NEVER fit, hence him not getting a new contract. Shame. I rate Delaney and is better than Carr - if anything tho I would hope the club has some other RBs in mind over him. BUT - i don't think he is capable of winning the league or being up there with the bigger clubs. Just the feeling I get. I'm with nufc_geordie and the 'vibe' i got is that we are papering over the cracks. But everyone is entitled to their opinions. Having said that I'm very proud of the result and credit needs to be given where deserved. Regarding Babayaro, I thought had a pretty solid game - there was one moment when Bellamy went past him and he just lunged at him and i thought 'oh crap' - but besides that moment he was solid and kept that side in control. Big ups to GR for the win - but I would still like him replaced with someone with more stature in the offseason so we can compete with Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal etc

This lad looks to be a decent player - and getting him on loan would be good. still need to address LB position.......that's our first priority imo would be nice if we got coloccini - to play RB but don't see it happening....

I was just watching Adelaide United from the Australian A-League and I thought - "Hey! Why don't we sign Carl Veart from Adelaide United?" He has experience in England with Crystal Palace.... He's a young 38 and the 'strong' type of striker we are looking for and I'm sure he would link up well with Martins...and even better with Ameobi.... I'm sure he'd give his all for the team - and that's what GR is looking for.

I didn't rate wes brown - and I still don't - at CB that is. It seems that he is a pretty decent RB. Everytime I've seen him play there he seems alright. TBH I dont think we have a chance of getting Wes and Heinze but it would be nice to get them both. I can't really see anyone we've mentioned realisticly comin to NUFC except Upson in Jan. I just hope ur scouts are workin their butts off... How about some defenders from Hamburg? We should try an get Lauren or Neill definitely - and I think we have a chance to. Essential though? Solano is playin well at right back so if we don't get them in jan I won't panic. Left back is essential - and Baines looks good as does Bale. I reckon it would be worth a punt on Bale. But although I can't see it happenin I still think we may have an outsider shot on bridge. Centre back - yes please in Jan. Tbh i don't really rate distin or brown - they are good but I don't think they have the stability and leadership that our defence needs. Maybe Neill can play centre back as he did with Aus... but i think we need a more commanding centre back there with a bit of composure and distribution skills (i.e. not ramage or bramble). Can't name anyone off the top of my head that would be available.....Cannavaro???

Leftback first definitely - Bridge is my obvious first choice - although unlikely. Keep Solano right back for this season at least. we should get a solid centre back too - easy to say.
