He is getting fitter and sharper with every game! you can see the Steve Bruce effect fading week by week. probably doesn't want the season to stop at the moment.
-
He came on at the right time and did the right things today, hopefully that will set him up nicely for a start on Wednesday.
-
Was just coming to post this, i think he is to be honest, the only one i think might have a chance to challenge him would be Hakimi?

Chris Wood (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

It was a fantastic finish and its one of the very few times i see him kick a ball like he's a striker since he's joined us, overall thought he was sloppy and had quite a few chances to put our players in good positions but didn't. hopefully he'll look sharper on Wednesday. -
amazing energy once again today, and he finally got the goal his performances deserve.
-
It was either his worst game for us or he got tired of dominating other teams and was giving himself little challenges today.

The Idea that this is all about "sportswashing" sound silly to me, PIF didn't buy us to improve their image nor do they care much about doing so as they know it doesn't really matter what they do to change the perception. Yasir said clearly in a recent interview that they looked at it as a smart investment, in his words they looked at what a club like Chelsea is worth and realized that by buying us they could get ten times the value when they sell, plus the marketing opportunities that the club represents, they seem to be calculated investors looking at the long term rather than the short term. which is exactly what we need as a football club and as a city. To me the only metric i really have for them is how they run the club and what decisions they make related to it. anything else doesn't concern me one bit. and at the moment everything they've done for this club has been overwhelmingly positive and i couldn't have asked for better owners.

Not only is his defending imperious but his ability on the ball is outstanding. having him and Schar allows us to use the whole pitch to play.
-
His work rate and ability to win 50-50's really does remind me of Dembele that used to play for Tottenham, you just can't take the ball off him. his touch in the first half for the shot was incredible too.
-
As long as he can keep up this work rate the rest will come.
-
I must admit i wasn't sure he was that much of an improvement on Dubravka considering he always made a mistake when playing against us, but I'm very happy to be wrong, wonderful goalkeeper.
-
I want to say he couldn't have done much more but he was inches away from a hatrick and two assists in front of the England manager, what a fantastic player he is , even when he doesn't score he gives us so much.
-
What he will always give you is a lot of energy and running in midfield, if he combines that with some final third product he will be a key player for us for a long time.
-
I was one of his biggest critics on here but what a fucking run he's having, its amazing what the right coaching and instructions can do to a player, he's really been playing to his strength this month and deserves to be the EPL player of the month.
-
Today was a performances that reminded me of him when he first came out, never stopped running and he's been vital in our recent run.
-
Again today he looked so comfortable and so fucking good. lets see how he fares next week against Kane and Son
-
As much as the sight of Chris Wood on the pitch terrifies me, i'm pleased we are protecting him a bit, even when he doesn't score he offers so much.
-
Safe to say we got one of the top 5 right backs in the world for 12 million?
-
Down with a hamstring and then goes for a full pitch sprint a few minutes later what a warrior. he give absolutely everything every game while also being quite a good footballer
-
Great Finish today, still a long way to go on his decision making and end product but good to see him more confident with his finishing.
-
He was quite bad today, i know he's been a fan since we was a kid but he doesn't have to play like some fit fan that won a competition to play with the first team, so many wrong decisions and touches.
-
He's so reliable and just does everything effortlessly, no wonder Maldini and Milan were so keen on having him.
-
Not his best game today but hopefully he just had an off day, looking forward to seeing him run the show against Everton.
-
Him and Botman are of some quality, no wonder we have one of the best defenses in the league.
-
For someone who is 24 he was playing like he's 42 in the last 15 minutes
