Very disappointed in our central midfield play today. We have the players and the capability to pass the ball around and create, yet from the time we conceded, the team seemed to concede the middle of the pitch to Arsenal and became content with sitting deep and trying to disrupt Arsenal, a strategy that is difficult to implement for so long (Neither Cabaye or Tiote did this particularly well anyway, imo). Jonas and Obertan were both extremely sloppy in an attacking sense, and Arsenal keyed onto Ben Arfa after he embarrassed them the once. He'll need to to learn ways to exert an influence on games in this league when we are not on top and dominating possession. edit: Krul and Van Persie were at each other all match. I don't think less of either of them for it. Both are competitive. If anything, I thought Krul initiated the incident after the winner.

This is only because RVP's two chances were so clear that Krul wouldn't have been involved. I'm not really sure what Obertan is meant to be doing here. Credit to him because he is working hard defensively, but he is struggling to find a role when we go forward. The player is not suited to the center at all.

He played in just about every match when he's been fit. We've had a very good season and he's clearly been part of that effort. The guy has done a lot this season. I think you are being unfair if want to insinuate that he has somehow just been a passenger on the journey.

Very useful player. I am good with having someone in our squad that loves playing for the club, can cover four positions with varying degrees of competence, delivers very good set pieces, and will not make noises about playing more. Ryan is a valuable asset, imo, and well worth the (undoubtedly minor) wage that he is being compensated with.

If you don't like football. Honestly, at times it can be like watching Power Ranger. Lyon are in terrible form. They haven't won a match outside of the the French cups since January. Shame that both OM and OL are in crisis right before two extremely winnable CL knockout ties.

If PSG win Ligue 1 (they will) and are in the Champions League (They will be), is there are chance they throw everything towards Van Persie?

Depends, if Arsenal qualify for the CL i reckon he will stay........ who is going to buy him who could afford him? Barca? dont need him...... Madrid ? dont need him...... Milan? dont need him...... Bayern? Dont need him...... The only two who could make sense are Juventus ( tho i think the forward they buy will be of a different profile and will be in his early 20s) and City simply because they buy anyone and everyone....... But even City has Balotelli, Aguero, Dzeko, Tevez and loads of other other AM/Wingers aswell, he would be smart to stay at Arsenal. Just seen this. Left me speechless, some really strange stuff in that post. What's strange about it? Milan has Ibra, Barca has Messi, Bayern has Gomez, Madrid has Higuian and Benzema........ None of them actually need him. I don't understand why any team wouldn't need the second best striker in the world over the last 12 months. He'd improve every team you've mentioned and I include Barca in that. Staying at Arsenal would be the dumbest thing he could do - he isn't going to win anything there. Do you consider Cristiano Ronaldo a striker?

Looking at Doncaster's squad, they seem to enjoy employing old Francophone African player who are completely past it. Diatta, Beye, Diouf, Chimobonda, Bagayoko. Quite a collection of uselessness.

It's clearly not a goal kick.

Shola is the like the ugly, vitriolic wife that you have been with for years. Everything you show to her externally burns of hatred and desperation for something different. Her presence alone reminds you of the hell she has put you through. Despite all of this, she will occasionally do something that makes you look deep into the eyes of your lover and realise that the heart still yearns for her, and that your life would not be as full if she weren't around. I really do dislike this guy almost all of the time, but he's been an important figure for the majority of my life, and whenever he does well I cannot help but smile.

It is odd for Ramage to show such partiality towards us when he is actually employed by another club in the same division.

To be honest, I don't understand the sympathy for this manager at all. He's been given cheques to write. His mission is to reconfigure the squad while still leaving them viable as a Champions League side and outside title contender. He has failed miserably. It is somewhat early and harsh, but it didn't look like he was improving anything. Results had actually gotten significantly worse. They had a great victory in December against Man City, and they've won three matches out of thirteen since. The squad is not this bad, and that form would have any manager in he league looking over their back.

That was two or so years ago. Messi ran into his boot, really. I'm quite sure it wasn't even a freekick. It is Amorebieta if you want to see it.

I think some of these people forget that we were sitting a league below in dire straits only two years ago and were sitting in the bottom half when the man took the helm. They forget that he had to sell his most high profile player two or three weeks into his career here. Anything above seventh for this club, is a great result and it is ridiculous to act like Pardew had no part in this. I am not a supporter of some of the negative football he has employed, but at the same time, he completely changed the formation earlier in the season to give Ben Arfa room to operate. I think he is learning and adjusting and it is good to give him time in which to do so.

Santon isn't any better than Taylor at leftback. I assume he would be far superior to Simpson at rightback, but on the left his defesive frailties can be exposed and his attacking play is less effective as crossing seems not to be an option.

Mata, Africa-Belgian large child, Courtois, De Bruyne, Cahill, Romeu, various young players. The Belgian boy and Mata are at least 40 million pounds alone.
-
He's been a terrible manager, regardless of whatever "transition" they are going through. He has to have spent about 60 million pounds since he arrived after inheriting a team that competed for the title last year, and the man has produced nothing but regression.
-
You see what this boy did to Richardson, Pardew? You've seen that? You want to start a defender in the place of someone who can do these things? I hope for the sake of everyone he bothers to turn up to training.

Every time Santon is is a decent crossing position, he cuts inside, which leads to us losing possession as no one on the team remembers how to pass a bloody football. -

If Chris Waddle says "playing football" one more time...I will do nothing as I'm sat on my bed half asleep, but I will be unhappy. -

This is an awful match thus far. Really poor. -
To be fair though, I think we've played fairly poorly in all three games in which Cisse has featured along Ba. Cisse has had two very good games in that time, but we've been disjointed as a team. I wouldn't drop him personally, anyway.

Belhanda and Giroud have been absent. John Utaka has been the saviour in their absence. Scored vital goals to win them points in the last two matches against PSG and Bordeaux. It looks a two team battle now as Lille have thrown away more points today. Lyon and Marseille have probably thrown away any chance of the CL, too. Not watching, but I would hazard a guess that this did not change against ten men. Defeatist mentality.
