  1. Maybe he comes back. Fadiga made it back. Evander Sno is still playing. Kanu returned from heart transplant. Until I am told otherwise, I will hope for the best. The signs are good at all, and objectively my thoughts are negative, but there is always a chance he may make it. I'm praying for the guy, he still has much to do in his life.
  2. Dortmund are the best team in Germany and OM beat them twice in the group stage with an aggregate score of 6-2. No team in Germany should intimidate them. People underestimate Om because the team in rubbish.
  3. Not scared of Bayern Munich. Happy with the draw. The semifinal against Real Madrid will be difficult.
  4. Ray Wilkins is a fool. When does the draw actually start?
  5. I don't really have qualms with Danny Simpson. I think he is a slightly below average Premiership right back. Nothing more or less. The problem is that he is always in the team. There is no alternative in the manager's mind. Do you realise he has played all but ~15 minutes of the Premiership campaign (subbed off against Tottenham)? He's started every cup match as well. It is good that he is a fit player, but I don't understand why no one else can be given a chance.
  6. I give no credit to Pardew here. I think Hatem of five years ago would have blown up by now. He has been matured by injury and age is working hard to perform for the club that took a chance on him. If Pardew allow him space to live, this could be an extremely fruitful time for his career.
  7. We'll get Real and APOEL will get Barcelona. They want the Spanish boys to go as far as possible, and they want both of these horrendous team out as soon as physically possible. OM are a big club. They belong in the later stages of this competition. Do not let the English and Spanish oligopoly confuse you.
  8. What the hell is happening? We're through, I cannot believe this.
  9. I hate everything about this game. I am going to spend three hours watching my team lose to a team that cannot even pass to each other.
  10. Both legs of this have been extremely poor and negative. Unsurprising given both teams are in terrible form and short of confidence. I'm amazed that we are 45 minutes from the CL quarterfinals, tbh, and anything can happen from there. Anything can happen in the second half, but I really can't see Inter finding a goal at the moment. Absolutely no belief. Off-topic, but does Ramos still play right back for Spain? Has he switched to the centre for country as well? Really, I just want to know if Azpilicueta is anywhere near the squad.
  11. Pass hit someones knee and deflected to Kelly who fired straight at keeper. Fantastic. Suarez's pass was headed directly to Kelly anyway.

  13. Welcome to human nature. It be like that sometimes. He was shrugged off too easily for the goal. Just as Gibbs and co. were too easily disposed of by Hatem for ours. Of course these are great moves by good players, but the defenders are playing at the top level too, and Williamson made it quite easy for Van Persie. My main question about the goal still relates to Walcott being behind both our left sided players and one on one with our centreback seconds after the restart.
  14. He looks laboured. The same way that Oba did after Gilmore's Groin in the relegation year or Ben Arfa at the start of this season. He gives a lot of effort, but when he runs it looks like he is carrying too much weight. He is distinctly lacking for acceleration and aggressiveness.
  15. I feel Tiote has been extremely average all season, and he is still the most vital player other than Coloccini and Krul. If we are going to do anything in these last ten matches, he needs to be fit and violent.
  16. He's not a scapegoat. Think back to the sequence...we have a somewhat promising attack...Simpson receives the ball in an area where he can cross or pass back to a more competent player in the centre, he instead runs into the corner earning a throw...from this position, Simpson has two options: Throwing it long at the targetman in the box, or short to Shola, who can either waste time or attempt to continue possession/the attack. He instead throws it directly at two Arsenal players, initiating a counter attack where several of our players are waiting in attacking positions. It is very poor play that will lead to danger in any period of the game. It is a shame, I thought he was very good otherwise.
  17. Very disappointed in our central midfield play today. We have the players and the capability to pass the ball around and create, yet from the time we conceded, the team seemed to concede the middle of the pitch to Arsenal and became content with sitting deep and trying to disrupt Arsenal, a strategy that is difficult to implement for so long (Neither Cabaye or Tiote did this particularly well anyway, imo). Jonas and Obertan were both extremely sloppy in an attacking sense, and Arsenal keyed onto Ben Arfa after he embarrassed them the once. He'll need to to learn ways to exert an influence on games in this league when we are not on top and dominating possession. edit: Krul and Van Persie were at each other all match. I don't think less of either of them for it. Both are competitive. If anything, I thought Krul initiated the incident after the winner.
  18. This is only because RVP's two chances were so clear that Krul wouldn't have been involved. I'm not really sure what Obertan is meant to be doing here. Credit to him because he is working hard defensively, but he is struggling to find a role when we go forward. The player is not suited to the center at all.
  19. He played in just about every match when he's been fit. We've had a very good season and he's clearly been part of that effort. The guy has done a lot this season. I think you are being unfair if want to insinuate that he has somehow just been a passenger on the journey.
  20. Very useful player. I am good with having someone in our squad that loves playing for the club, can cover four positions with varying degrees of competence, delivers very good set pieces, and will not make noises about playing more. Ryan is a valuable asset, imo, and well worth the (undoubtedly minor) wage that he is being compensated with.
  21. If you don't like football. Honestly, at times it can be like watching Power Ranger. Lyon are in terrible form. They haven't won a match outside of the the French cups since January. Shame that both OM and OL are in crisis right before two extremely winnable CL knockout ties.
  22. If PSG win Ligue 1 (they will) and are in the Champions League (They will be), is there are chance they throw everything towards Van Persie?
  23. Depends, if Arsenal qualify for the CL i reckon he will stay........ who is going to buy him who could afford him? Barca? dont need him...... Madrid ? dont need him...... Milan? dont need him...... Bayern? Dont need him...... The only two who could make sense are Juventus ( tho i think the forward they buy will be of a different profile and will be in his early 20s) and City simply because they buy anyone and everyone....... But even City has Balotelli, Aguero, Dzeko, Tevez and loads of other other AM/Wingers aswell, he would be smart to stay at Arsenal. Just seen this. Left me speechless, some really strange stuff in that post. What's strange about it? Milan has Ibra, Barca has Messi, Bayern has Gomez, Madrid has Higuian and Benzema........ None of them actually need him. I don't understand why any team wouldn't need the second best striker in the world over the last 12 months. He'd improve every team you've mentioned and I include Barca in that. Staying at Arsenal would be the dumbest thing he could do - he isn't going to win anything there. Do you consider Cristiano Ronaldo a striker?
  24. Looking at Doncaster's squad, they seem to enjoy employing old Francophone African player who are completely past it. Diatta, Beye, Diouf, Chimobonda, Bagayoko. Quite a collection of uselessness.
