  1. I went to Wiki to check, and apparently he plays every single position on the pitch including goalkeeper.
  2. Chelsea have been playing a ridiculous high line all season. They still have a rugged centre of defence and midfield that will be difficult to break through. They are most vulberable to balls played into space in front of the defence. The pace of Ba, Jonas, and HBA/Ameobi/Obertan/Lovenkrands/Ranger will be important.
  3. That would make sense. The guy is a defesive midfielder who fills in well at right back. He only played in the centre of defence because we exhausted all of our options. Most players struggle outside of their comfort zone.
  4. Imo, his talent is best suited to the wide role in a 4-3-3 for our side. Like Mata at Chelsea, he can drift insdie at will, but his starting position should be out wide.
  5. The rule is nonsensical. I don't see why teams don't just keep one striker behind the defence at all times.
  6. Didn't seem it when he walked through three defenders at the edge of the box or waltzed through two by the endline. His purely physical attributes seemed to have declined a bit after the inury, though. I really think it is something that comes after he plays more and loses some fat.
  7. Definitely looked like a player worth 5 million pounds today. To be honest, I'm not even sure what he was doing when he fouled Richards. He is our second most advanced player. Why is he in the opposing box down 2-0?
  8. Probably a penalty, but atroicous dive. Ben Arfa has knocked him over, ffs.
  9. You are even more prone to buckling when you are a mildly incompetent defender. The first part of this season does not change the fact that he has been an inferior defensive player his entire career.
  10. He did single handedly create our best chance of the half, tbf.
  11. Ba should have just scored the chance in all honesty. He still looks a little "off" imo, but the qualities that make him Ben Arfa are beginning to shine through. Still trying to do too much, imo.
  12. Both goals were errors and we had two great chances on the head and foot of our best striker. Nothing was inevitable. We haven't performed when necessary.
  13. At some point inferior players are just inferior players. We can talk about spirit and belief all day, but the crux of the matter is that we still have a number of inferior footballers featuring for us on a regular basis.
  14. Ha, remeber when we meant to sign Veloso for 12 million pounds in 08-09? I am still waiting for him along with Ebondo and M'bia.
  15. Hiddink played Croatia, one of the more talented teams in Europe. Ireland played a country of 1 million that has never qualified for any torunament in its history.

    Classy

When/where did this happen? What sort of forum led one of the key figures at the club to think it was alright to talk like this?
  17. Sorry, been out of touch and somewhat ignorant about this. What seperates this title from the "sportsdirect@" bastardisation?
  18. I know everyone likes the guy now, but Taylor is generally an atrocity of nothingness on the wing.
  19. At least one occasion where Sylvain was running to the line and needed to cross with his right, but decided to shift it on his left and play it backwards, ending the threat.
  20. This second half here will be the most difficult test we've had all season.
