Americans....Is Bob Bradley from somewhere other than the US? He has this vague accent whenever I hear him talk. Ahhhh, T-Shirt weather. Lovely. I hope this means that horribly uninformed European commentators will finally stop talking about how the "African heat" will affect the World Cup. I was amazed at the ignorance when I started hearing this.

Yohann Pele (The favorite keeper of those who have not seen him play) signed for Toulose from Le Mans.

I really don't think you're close to signing Lucho mate. You've offered 18m when you consider they paid 12, I think they'll be looking for 25m, on top of the fact they like to sell to the biggest clubs around. At this point we're the only club to have made an offer, and it is an acceptable one. Apparently the man wants to come as well. Obviously if Real Madrid just come out start throwing ridiculous figures around, we won't sign him. However, all the reports I've heard have made me optimistic.

Olympique Marseille are supposedly very close to signing Lucho Gonzalez from Porto ( ) and Soulemayne Diawara ( ) from Bordeaux. We were linked with Gabriel Heinze and Ebondo as well as Mbia (That brings back painful memories). Like the look of the the team for next year. Think we can really win the title. Just hope none of the top players are sold to the "superclubs".

Edgar is garbage. We can easily replace him without spending a cent. Well on transfer fees at least.

To me the US is like one of those midlevel European national teams. Not particularly great, but usually pretty solid, and for that reason they can spring a surprise on many teams.
-
Martins is worth around 1o million in my opinion, but we won't get that for him. We won't get fair value for any of our better players.
-
The likes of Boumsong and Hughes have found more success than Bramble after leaving this club.
-
Hope the US gets crushed by Brazil. These people are getting too cocky. None of them were out when they were getting raped by the Italians.

He'll play a fair bit at Chelsea I think. As much as a 19 year old at a club of Chelsea's stature could expect anyway. I imagine he'll be a backup for both the wing and forward positions.
-
Is it though? He needs to go somewhere that he will play everyweek (doubtful at Chelsea) im sure other clubs would have wanted him in the Premiership who could play him week in week out. Didn't he have absolutely ridiculous wage demands though? Even City wouldn't pay them. Surely nobody is though? Chelsea certainly won't be, maybe they plan on loaning him out, could see him at a club like Everton tbh where he would get plenty of games at a good level. He was asking for £60-70k a week. Imagine him walking in the dressing room and being a higher earner than the likes of Arteta, Jags & Cahill? Or going somewhere like Villa and pulling in more than Young or Petrov? Jumped up little t***. If being an t*** (Such a rubbish word) makes you 60-70 thousand pounds per week, then most people would do it. Bottom line is that if there is someone out there willing to pay him that much, than he is worth it.

He dropped a large amount of clangers for us. That has everything to do with the reason why. His clangers were infuriating but he did defend well for most of the 90 mins which is not true of some of the centre backs we've had on our books since then. Ultimately this was the wrong club for a player of his type, he's probably better off at a low profile club like Wigan. True, but his mistakes were always monumentally bad, and apparent. Whereas Taylors/Colos etc arent always as instantly noticable in the way that say passing the ball directly to the opposition or making a ridiculous tackle is. He made a lot of good tackles which prevented goals as well. Well he's a defender that's his job. Being a defender isn't like being a striker. A few great plays don't shadow over monumental errors. A large part of being a great defender is composure, confidence, and being able to read the attack. Bramble always has the physical attributes, but he was definitely not a great defender while he was at Newcastle. We shouldn't fool ourselves.

Year from now, we'll be wondering how Colo, Jonas, Martins, Enrique, Taylor, and even Owen are doing so well on there new teams. Hell, a few of them might be playing in the Champions League. Just the way things seem to work at this club.
-
Johnson is average the majority of the time. Even this year, it's not like he was world class every match or anything.
-
Wait...what? ESPN lost the Champions League? Does this mean these games won't be on basic cable? That's really poor man. ESPN360 was a lifesaver for a university student like me as well. This could be good as far as La Liga and Premier League though. Anything that means more free television games is a good thing. Hopefully Tommy Smyth develops permanent laryngitis or something though. Do you know if anyone is picking up Ligue 1 next year. Marseille are my second team and I assume if anyone grabbed the rights, they'd be on alot.

It's not that bad. Best away kit we've had in a while actually. Would look better if it were in the style of Sunderland's last year (i.e. black shorts. Actually even white shorts. Anything but butterscotch.)

That shirt will look great to wear around in my opinion. Especially in warmer climes. I like it. Think it will look good on the pitch. However, I still very much disagree with the socks.
-
I once again congratulate Liverpool for spending a massive amount of money and not improving their first team in amy way
-
I doubt any of the Italian players are losing too much sleep.
-
I don't mind it at all. Don't like the colors but it's alright. I seriously question the decision to make the socks striped though. A solid color would be less dizzying.
-
He really didn't look good whenever I saw him last year.
-
It's clearly racism....against Spurs supporters.
-
My general point was that results on the pitch are always the results of the manager and the players. Ashely didn't do a good job this season. However, Ashley could have done the same job and the team could have finished 13th or something. Hell, he could have done a better job and the team could have finished bottom. For me the bottom line is that, if the playing staff plays to potential, we are not relegated.

Not to go off on a terrible and unnecessary tangent but, it's not Mike's fault we couldn't defend leads against Wigan (for two minutes!) or Stoke.
