  1. Chelsea pretty much got f***** over. Happy for Barcelona tbh. Hope they beat Man U. But what happened to Chelsea today, should not happen.
  2. I find it ridculous that we're in an extremely tight title race, and we have all this rubbish going on. Happy with Deschamps as manager, but would much prefer Gerets to stay. He's been fantastic.
  3. Just like they did last year, and against Chelsea... Still waiting to see them SCORE against a decent team. What the hell?! They did it 6 bloody times on Saturday!
  4. Diaby is too forward and Alex Song is too s***. Denilson should not even be considered. I wonder if Wenger will actually invest in this.
  5. And yet in August when it was suggested that Ashley wanted to wash his hands of Barton and sell him, a fair few fans backed Keegan's stance of wanting to keep him... Aye, backing the manager to make the decisions on his playing staff. Weird concept, eh? That doesn't really apply when the player is embarrassing the club and the owner is paying his wages. He did nothing of the sort under Keegan. Are you saying there should be a different circumstance since he commited assault a week or so before Keegan arrived?

  7. It's about time they Gibbs out of there ffs. IT was only a matter of time before he seriously cost them.
  8. You should slow down man. You're engaged in about five different arguments right now.
  9. What defines a top side for you then? A side who reach the Champions League semi-final are not a top side now? A side that can play any team off the park on their day (not today) is by your standards, not a top side? The hell are you on? BTW, if you call a team average, when they're widely considered to be 'fantastic' it does make them relatively s****. The two dimensional s*** is because I'm currently not able to write for s***. My s*** writing, however, ought not to preclude you from making more outrageously ridiculous statements and I'm sure it won't. Are you some sort of closet gooner nu fan nob'ed? The CL isn't that competetive these days, and it's not like they've played anyone of note, at least up until now, hence the thrashing. Domestically they're an average side and are about to limp into 4th again. Limp?! They haven't lost since November and are ten points ahead of 5th. You're mad man.
  10. I think Franck will go to Chelsea. Especially as there he'd be the main man at his position. I have no clue why Barca would want or need him.
  11. An onrunning theme this season has been our potential returning saviors letting us down during th esecond half of the season. Martins came back half fit and not really seeming to care all that much. Owen came back in the owrse form he's ever been for this club. Viduka seems to have lost a step, even from last year. And now Barton, our best midfielder can't even keep his head for one match. This season has done a fantastic job of raising our hopes and then brutally destroying them.
  12. FWIW I think that'll help rather than hinder us. We tend to do ok at home when teams actually come to play football. Top four excluded! Liverpool excluded, we've been a decent attacking threat against the top four at home.
  13. I could have sworn he was MOTM against Man Utd recently. But we have Coloccini anyway... He's 35 for goodness sake. He is also very very slow. He would also command very very high wages. Do people not remember our recent history? Why are people trying to recreate the original problems faced by this team?
  14. Hyypia would be an atrocious singing. It really is not a good omen when your new signing becomes the oldest player in the squad.
  15. IT would be interesting for the team to be the alphadog for once.
  16. He wasn't highly regarded amongst the Metz fans who thought they'd robbed us of £1.5m. Maybe this is true. I don't know where you found Metz fans to talk to tbh, but I'll take your word for it. But he was generally held in high esteem. (Maybe in the same way N'Zog and Taylor were rated higher by outsiders than their own fans). He was an u21 international for a nation which is superior in talent to that of England. The two other clubs he was closely linked to were Everton and Lille (consistently top part of table). He was not a nobody. And frankly at the price we paid, it would have been ridiculous if he some unknown player. The gam was really depressing btw.
  17. Just about sums everything up. It's a bit ridiculous to say Bassong was an unknown prospect. It's like saying Aaron Lennon was an unknown youngster. The player was a highly regarded product of what might be the best academy in the entire world. He had been quite well known among the football community in France for some time. Frankly, Bassong was not random luck. He was a good signing. The kind of business that would have been useful as the teams of of the earlier part of this decade were deteriorating.
  18. I do not see how 0-0 at the Camp Nou is not job done tbh. That same team they drew 0-0 against just raped Real bloody Madrid 6-2 in the Bernabeu ffs. Tbh, I think Chelsea are going through anyway. Barca's back five really is relatively weak and I think they'll ship a couple of goals. Either way I want the winner of that semifinal to win the whole thing. Eh? Exactly. Wait. What? I'm saying Barcelona are the premier attacking force in the world and I don't think Chelsea should be criticised for having the solidity to keep them from scoring. Considering that was only the second time it's been done all season.

  20. Feel bad for Casillas, from what I got to see, he was one of the best players yet he still allowed three goals.
  21. Lassana Diarra was never good enough for Chelsea and he wont be good enough for Real.
  22. He's funny, I just wish he would shut the f*** up about the Chelsea match. He just called them a machete machine.
  23. He's injured. But he's also really poor, so it doesn't really matter. That Alex-Terry Central defence partenship is pretty slow and blunt. I guess Carvalho is still injured?
  24. Butt would have faded badly in the dying minutes though. He always does.
  25. Harper, Taylor, Onyewu, Bramble, Babayaro, Solano (Duff 86), Parker, Butt, Milner, Dyer (Sibierski 81), Martins. That side managed to beat Liverpool 2-1 in 2007. There's no reason that this current group can't do the same. It is essential that both Guthrie and Barton start in this game, and if they both do, I think we can have a decent crack at it tbh. Hull (Who are actually worse than us and probaly worst in the league--and yes I know we didn't beat them ) pushed them to the limit this weekend, so why not us. Forget the negativity, let us find glorius glorius victory explosion.
