all depends on what you define as the "worst" Worst as in least talent or worst as in biggest disappointment or biggest waste of money

He was overrated initially but was almost adequate, but his confidence soon nose-dived and he was sucked into a defensive nightmare. The fact he was about 6'4" and couldn't head a ball didn't help him much, though. The fact he's 6'4" and a fucking pansy scared to bully strikers didnt help either.

Everyone else in that list has at least tried for the team, regardless of ability. The worst player is about what is upstairs not just natural talent. I've voted for those players who've turned in the highest percentage of bad performances regardless of innate talent. I'd say that's Faye, with Pattison, Ameobi, Smith, Luque lagging behind. If you go on that theory then it's Pattison, Faye, Boumsong, Luque, Smith. In that order. Although I tend to judge performances differently to some on the forum I dunno. I tend to overlook Boumsong as he had to play alongside Bramble. He was rubbish, though, no doubt about it. Those 2 brought out the worst in each other, but i would take Titus over him any day of the week. Can't remember a good Boumsong performance. when you think of Ramage, Smith, Pattison etc at least you know they tried to make up for their lack of talent by putting 110% in. Luque is the worst player we've had in the last 5 years because he just didn't try.

Well thats deba Well thats debatable. Well we don't create chances for Viduka so he does nothing, at least Smith would battle hard and possible set up chances for someone else

Harper - 7 - Some good saves and did nothing wrong. Beye - 7 - Kranjcar wasn't in the game, made some good tackles. Taylor - 7 - Very Solid and won everything in the air. Faye - 6 - Went to sleep at times and could have cost us a point. Enrique - 6.5 - Wasteful when passing and crossing the ball, but tackled well and ran well with the ball. Geremi - 7 - Retained possession well but can't take on a man. Butt - 7 - Broke up play very well and passing was generally good. Barton - 7 - Tenacious, Got up and down the pitch effectively. Owen - 6 - Didn't impact the game and wasted a glorious chance. Martins - 7 - Full of running, tested James. Viduka - 5 - Smith would really be more effective in away games against the good teams. Overall - 7 - Good team performance, we were the better team throughout and could have won it.

Am I the only one who thinks Fabregas shouldn't be on this list? From what I've seen hasn't played that well and clearly doesn't score as much as he should.

You were watching a different Barton to me, the one I was watching was clueless. He rarely found a team mate when playing the ball and we ended up under pressure because of it. tbh barton didnt try n pass it that much, he looked to cross it and do something different, i.e. deft chip across the box. Personally i thught his passing was bad but didnt put the team under pressure because the passes normally went out/found the keeper.

He battled them out of the game 2nd half, you are bound to lose the ball at times but what you have to do is winit back and Barton did this every time.

Harper 7 - Actually had fuck all to do Beye 6 - Reasonably solid defensively, Pity he was so shit going forward. Taylor 5 - shaky 1st half, better 2nd. Faye 3 - Shitter of a performance, hopefully his only one this season. Enrique 6 - Outdone at times in first half, played much better when he stopped lumping it. Always knew he could pelt one! Geremi 7 - (Set Pieces 0) Kept the ball well but offered little as a winger. Butt 7- Battled well and Passing much better. Barton 6 - Thought he battled hard and won the ball well at times. Martins 8 - So much more effective in the middle and i couldn't believe he was subbed. Viduka 5 - Stop fucking trying to Spin! Owen 7 - Worked hard, linked up well and scored the crucial goal. Keegan 6 - Half time team talk must have done wonders but he fucked up any chance of winning by talking off Martins.
