  1. More money shared down the pyramid (not necessarily The Championship as some clubs are living beyond their reasonable means). It’s scandalous that Bury were allowed to go bust. Max of 60% towards wages/ top earners in clubs take wage cuts to stop back room staff losing jobs. Tackle Agents fees and on the field amongst many other things, we have to stop players being able to shield a tricking ball which is going nowhere and where the player has no option or the ability to get out of it other than to fall over at the slightest contact and get a free kick. It absolutely boils my piss that say Almiron could bust a gut to run a Maguire into a corner and see him fall over with contact that wouldn’t knock a 90 year old over and be awarded a free kick. Absolute nonsense.
  2. That failure to even book Fleck is doing my 16/1 bet at the moment.
  3. The presenter was clearly being directed by his editor about what to say. Souness was right to mention the flare and the game should have gone ahead.
  4. Boris just said in PMQ that first he knew anything about this was on the Sunday night it broke.
  5. That rain isn’t helping Chelsea, it’s slowed the game right down
  6. Madrid haven’t got the legs here.
  7. Pretty sure Joel have put that in. Sitter.
  8. See Souness advocating heads must roll and not fines/ points deduction as that penalises the fans. It absolutely should be both. The fans need to see the affect this decision has on their club and make them even more determined it doesn’t happen again. If only a few sacrificial lambs are offered up the owners have absolutely got away with it.
  9. No, I don’t think this for one second but I suspect the Big 6 will look to influence change to protect their current status. There’s no chance that present owners will be subjected to any new tests but our proposed takeover could very easily be an immediate and high profile example of preventing all powerful ownership. It’s very arguable that it would be a decision in the interests of the game and the fans to stop this. Whatever the Govt review looks like, the Big 6 will see how they can make it work for them. In many ways it might have better if they’d left for it to fall apart after a couple of years when they’d be in far less position to call the shots. As it is nothing really truly changes.
  10. I worry massively that the Gov review on ownership will scupper any hope for us and will only secure the status quo for the foreseeable future.
  11. Hibbitt to Super Mac; perfection.
  12. Having the Old Firm down here would be a nightmare. There’d be chaos, they’d immediately think they were entitled to Top 6 and to be fair once established they’d get there and the chaos would continue. Anyone thinking we’d compete with them once they had the financial power is kidding themselves. The police would have a right job on their hands both here and in Scotland. They want to become independent and be part of our league to the detriment of clubs like us; I don’t think so. Rancid idea.
  13. This lot would have ran off without a second thought if they could have. All the thinking, all the doubts, all the lovely money was agreed before they signed contracts. They’d have gladly sacrificed every other club, big or small, for the coin. They all need a proper punishment and they need to accept it gracefully. I’d include some kind of increased footballing community service in this and access to games for those who can’t afford it. It should never be forgotten what they tried, and, still want to do. Unforgivable.
  14. Masters was hand picked by Man U and Liverpool so hopefully that relationship is in tatters. He could always approve our deal and ask the Saudis to become his bouncer.....
  15. Can you imagine if the Saudis now get Man U and are considered better owners than the Glazer’s? Really hope the Liverpool, Man U, Spuds and Arsenal don’t pull out for a few days and create more damage to themselves.
  16. They’ll all say sorry, we were wrong. We promise not to be so naughty in the future and we’ll accept a slap on the wrists so long as you don’t let any other club try to be as big as us and that starts with NUFC.
  17. Any point in a poll asking who would watch any Super League games, leave cost of watching it, would you? Absolutely no chance I’d watch a single match, not even if we were in it, glorified show matches when it comes down to it. I’d rather watch us in The National League than effectively kill all other football.
  18. I’m not being serious here but would the Saudis pass any Super League O&D test and if so could they show their dosh and offer to join up? Intertoto Certificate plus countless billions, good enough. We’d be left in position we’re I’d rather have Ashley as owner.
  19. Should have said isn’t deemed big enough
  20. Fans from “The Big 6” need to come out strongly against this. Sadly, it seems there seems a fair bit of support on RAWK. I hope that’s from their American fans who don’t know what relegation and promotion means and feels like. I’ll not watch never mind pay to watch a competition my team is deemed “big” enough to be part of. I’m fed up with the EPL but that’s largely down to our owner, at we do have in theory a chance to come compete.
