The Reuben Brothers are worth something like 18 Billion. It seems Jamie really wants it and the brothers must see it as an opportunity on a wider scale. All presumptions of course but if the PL approve PIF then the whole city and region should hugely benefit. I hope to god there’s huge pressure to give this the green light. Covid is costing lives, money and people’s futures, there’s an opportunity to inject huge amounts of non government funds into the region. It should be a no brainer. And yes, we all know they bad regime side of this but, I’ll be honest I’ll choose the improvement of my club and region first and hope it opens a door to improvements for others.

Bracewell scored a worldie on his debut against Southend, it was immediately clear that he was class. Venison surprised me tbh, I thought of him as a die hard Sunderland fan and overrated (no idea if he was - born in Consett) but he bought into KK’s style and he was great for us. I can’t think of any player we’ve signed from Sunderland who was given a hard time. Jeff Clarke was good for us as was Alan Brown on loan.

Krafth was heavily scouted before Bruce became manager. Signed on the basis that there’d be a good chance of making a profit.

Fulham are far too good for us. Every time I’ve seen them lately they’ve looked like a proper team.

Some daft Liverpool fans tried to flag our car down for a fight that night. They had some right walloper supporters at that time, there’d been loads of trouble at Anfield when we played them in the cup. We had our scarves out the windows laughing at them. Idiots ?

Aye, Peter Withe top. Great story Bingo. I was on holiday in Italy, my mates dad told me and I didn’t believe him (both Sunderland supporters) until he showed me the back page of the paper. We queued from around 11am with some cans outside the west stand to get into the Gallowgate Paddock. An amazing day with an amazing goal, when KK got that ball everyone was just waiting for him to score; you just knew this was it. The only other goal I’ve experienced at SJP like that was Ned Kelly but that was sheer relief.

ASM was tried alongside Wilson for a couple of games and was completely lost. Miggy just isn’t suited to that role at all IMO

Could you ever see Jo make the move and finish Gayle did against WBA? He ain’t great but he’s clearly a much better striker than Jo will ever be. Gayle will need a bit more support than Wilson does but it is what it is and he’ll score more than Jo. We need 5 wins or so, there’s no way Jo can score the necessary goals.

That’s very possibly a worse idea than playing Jo centre forward. Can’t see how it could possibly work.
