There was never any doubt that Wilson and ASM would miss several games between them throughout the season. The fact that we didn’t even try to get another striker in is unforgivable. We got away with it last year, we won’t this.

I think they’re suggesting we buy players for the club and that crowds of 44k don’t cut it. Should send the statement to the PL and ask them what’s the point of NUFC being in the PL under this owner. We’ve no interest in competing or making their product more attractive to new customers. We simply exist to try and grab as much money we can from them with the least amount of effort.

Guess I’m trying to say that the EPL is a more intensive, physical, game. At a top club you can coast in some games in La Liga; unless you’re playing NUFC you can’t really do that here. Depay had flashes of greatness but I think he found it difficult to maintain a level.

I think I need to understand the rules a bit better this season I think. Neves goes down ‘cos he sees the ball is going to a Man U player but Pogba gets nowhere near the ball and clearly kicks his shin - not enough to go down/ it is a contact sport? I think it’s a free kick tbh

It wouldn’t surprise me if Jones is advocating Murphy and Ritchie over Lewis and Manquillo for the offensive options they provide. No matter, it has to change for the next match where we’ll go to a back 10.

Ritchie and Murphy have cost us 4 goals so far this season by being caught out of position; we’ve also conceded a penalty game. The middle 3 at the back aren’t collectively good enough to make up for the defensive frailties of Murphy and Ritchie. I don’t blame either Murphy or Ritchie but they’re being increasingly targeted by the opposition and we’ll continue to concede soft goals if it’s allowed to continue. There’s no way he can play those 2 in this system at OT, it could be double figures.

My brother knows Lee. Told me that Lee is now managing in Morocco after managing in Sudan. His time in Sudan sounds like something from Minder or Only Fools and Horses.

Apparently Bobby wanted to stay and they asked for a 4 year contract that would take him to 20 meaning Newcastle would have pay up the final 2 years if he was released at 18. Newcastle refused and both Spurs and Liverpool were happy to agree 4 years. Safe to say Lee and Steve aren’t on good terms anymore.

Should be great to experience for him, he lacks pace which catches him out in the PL but he should be able to show his stuff up in Scotland. People within the club say he’s the better of the 2 brothers as a footballer.
