Stones is the new Joe Hart for being a complete liability.
  2. David Kelly, time was running out and I’ve no doubt we’d have gone down. Great goal and it changed our future. Will also mention Bracewell’s winning goal in the first game of the following season when we beat Southend 3-2, it was a fantastic hit and started the 11 in a row, it gave us great confidence (from memory Southend had turned us over 4-0 at their place the previous New Year and we’d been rinsed on Saint and Greavsie about how crap we were).

    St James' Park

Surprising that there’s are lot less empty seats with 30k in a 52k stadium than there is in a 48k stadium with 28k attending. Sunderland must be getting some gates where they’re struggling to get 10k through the doors.

    Fantastic attendance; dodgy performance.

FTM Crescent, Six in a Row Road & Massive Lads Fan Avenue are just round the corner. Each street only has numbers 1-9.

This will all end in tears come the World Cup when a group of England fans get pissed up, make a noise, play the big ‘un and then promptly kicked to shit off some professional thugs. You couldn’t pay me to go Russia to support England.

Punctured 4x4 by a kerbside, desolate, has Gibson stopped drinking ale yet? When in this charming car this charming man; why pamper life’s complexity when the roads too small for your AMG?.....

Or 13-3 if they ever learn to add up, which was the point of Paully's post which everyone whooshed on We lost 2-1, they can add but can’t be consistent in how they list the scores.
  10. Chose free hit as opposed to triple captain Salah ? please don’t tell you can do both cos I looked and couldn’t see this.

How much truth is there in this? Appears to be quite a sore point.. the Keegan side. Comes up a lot. (Not from the North East. ) But they didn’t ‘lose’ any fans did they? Their numbers didn’t go down. Ours went up but that was more in line with the general increase across the country following the increase in exposure/popularity due to the formation of the PL. You hear plenty of Mackem accents in the ground on matchdays. They could quite easily just be from South Shields or Washington tbf. Mackem accent is quite a bit different to the Washington or South Shields accent. Aye, a proper Sunderland accent makes your ears bleed. Washington accents are a right mixture. I lived there for 30 years, my parents were from the West End of Newcastle and loads of my mates had parents from places like Stanley (not many from Sunderland centre back then). The result was that Newcastle folk would call you a Mackem and Sunderland Townies would call you a Geordie. Have to say that since I left a load of scruffy gits from Sunderland have infested the place thanks to Sunderland Council. The Galleries is used as a free place to keep warm as they’ve already burned all their furniture to keep the house warm. f*** off you cheeky t*** Apologies; must be hard accepting you’re one of the scruffy gits ?, seriously, the last time I was in The Galleries it was wall to wall trash, it was like they’d shipped in half the populations of Pennywell and Hendon. I’m a Village lad and loved it there.

Go take a peek at the RTG thread on Gibson crashing his car this morning. You couldn’t make it if true.
  17. Lol; well remember Mitro missing the ball when shooting inside the box.

The mackems have won 5 in 37, they're highly unlikely to start stringing victories together at this stage. They’ve got Burton and Sheff Wed at home which are both very winnable together with a Norwich side with nowt to play for. Away games against Leeds and Reading are also possibilities. If they stay in touch over the next 3 or 4 games they have the fixtures to save themselves. Playing Wolves on the last day may be the best time to play them as well. As rubbish as the Mackems are they’re a couple of results away from being right back in the mix. 1/9 for relegation are very poor odds imo.

I have them staying up by 2 points. However, that’s only because I can’t see where Burton, Brum or Barnsley will pick up points. If any of them get 2 or 3 wins the they’re done. The teams down there have been incredibly bad.
  20. I seem to be the minority here but if I’m paying over £60 per month for my Sky Subscriptions I don’t want any of it going to that scruff. The other bloke is winding him up and if Carragher had given him the finger and some verbals I’d be perfectly fine with that; there’s no excuse for spitting at anyone, that’s pre meditated filth. He’s quite clearly taking enjoyment in the moment of doing it; sorry Jamie, that tells me what your level is and I don’t want to see you preaching football bollocks on the tv anymore. There’s plenty of decent ex players who’d love your job.

There’s a noticeable lack of Nufc related threads on RTG just now.
  22. I don't know how he played for the 90 mins but that footwork was pure class. He's such an enigma. At times he looks world class, at others he falls over at the slightest nudge. I do like him though so am always willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. If he didn’t do that shuffle the defender would have intercepted the pass and It also allowed Gayle to catch up play a little. It was very subtle and it was effortless, it really does deserve more praise. I was disappointed that MOTD didn’t analyse the goal after the game as it was a fantastically worked goal.
  23. His set up pass to Gayle for the 2nd goal was a great piece of play; the way he moved the ball between his feet completely fooled the defender beside him and made the pass what it was. The lad can play; can be very frustrating.
