  1. Was at the game and the atmosphere although at times was great was mostly subdued mainly because of israels tactics (which worked by the way). When the goal got disallowed (rightly so) it went mental so had we'd gone one up early it would have been like the Belgium game all over again. I'm expecting a tough game in Bosnia next month but I'd have to agree with everyone and say we've already qualified due to the fact the last game is Andorra home.
  2. I'm a Welshman with Newcastle links, I'm sure I'm not alone. We've also had our fair share of Welsh players over the past. I also see American and Ireland threads. Anyway ever since I was a small boy I've dreamt of watching my country at a major tournament.
  3. It would be quite a fuck up if we didn't qualify now, but having not been to a major in 57 years and after the Romania match in 93' and russia in 03' I'm still nervous! At the very least we should now have a playoff place.
  4. Sorry couldn't resist, what a result last night for us Welsh! Leaves us with 14 points with 4 games to play. Best atmosphere at a Wales game for many a year, long may it continue. Hopefully Dummett can be part of the next set of games in September. Also if Chester is available for transfer he could be a very useful addition to the nufc squad next season, impressed me again last night.

No chance will they bring anyone in this late in the season. Ashley will gamble (as he has since Christmas) that we have enough to stay up, or that we scrape some more points before the season ends. The incentive for Carver is that he'll be regaining some players de jong, aarons, cisse and dummett plus the forest boys? in the remaining weeks.

Just out of interest have many managers kept their jobs after 7 straight premiership losses?
  7. Game day! Anyone know anything about the Israeli team? They currently sit top with 3 wins out of 3. Seems as though we'll be almost full strength today, only notable player missing is Chester. Fully expect Collins to come in to replace him.
  8. It seems almost ridiculous to worry where these 5 points are coming from in our last 9 games to get to 40, but i'm worried!
  9. Totally disagree with these 'lazy' bale comments, granted I've not seen much of him at Madrid but for wales where I've seen him play several times his work rate is superb. Plus his stats for Madrid this season are far from poor.
  10. Yes he did turn us, and Ashley down, before we were relegated I think. Thanks, thought he did just couldn't remember.
  11. Whats everyone's opinion on Redknapp if he leaves QPR? I'm not saying he's my choice but he would tick a lot of the boxes for Ashley. Also did Redknapp turn us down previously?
  12. Just hope the rest of the backroom staff piss off now, get people in who can coach!
  13. He wouldn't if he had to pay compo to get rid of Pardew. Think if he gets compo in return it'll go towards a new manager. He'd probably see that money as profit!
  14. I'm pretty confident if Pardew does leave his replacement won't be a popular one. I'm almost certain Ashley won't pay compo for a manager currently in employment. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong.
  15. We went on that golden run without the likes of tiote and gouffran, it's not rocket science to identify why we've gone back to playing rubbish.
  16. The team that finished today was very similar to the one that started those first 6 or 7 games, familiar faces Williamson, Tiote, Gouffran and Riviere who offer nothing. The reason we started getting results was because this stale was removed with fresh new faces that offered something different from the predictable shite we have seen from them today and earlier on in the season. It wouldn't surprise me to see a different starting lineup vs Spurs and we get a result. Have a look Pardew your favorites just aren't good enough.
  17. Great result, thought we defended brilliantly, in particular Chester, Williams and the goalkeeper Hennessey. On to the next game now vs Israel in March, hopefully have all players fit.
  18. Aye miss Gary so much, I personally think he could have been one of the top coach's in european football. Such a shame.
  19. He'll probably be on the bench, can see coleman going with the same back 5 that started the Bosina game, Gunter, Chester, Williams, Davies and Taylor.
  20. Not sure if there are many Welsh fans about, most of you won't even care, however I thought I'd kick off a thread for the Wales Internationals seen as there is one for the Irish. Big game for us today vs a strong Belgium team, hopefully we can nick a point, will be very difficult though even on our rich vein of form. Anyway, whatever the result it's nice to have some optimism again, been a long time coming!
