After the brummie disaster this wasn't too bad a result!!! Ramage is and always has been a rubbish footballer...not just today but his touch and passing is awful, can't believe this guy is a professional! Scott parker and steve Carr back from injuries...why bother?! They can't cut the mustard either! Was much better with emre and butt in the middle! Milner has been a good performer but lets have a look at our left side....again rubbish....pattison and o'brien are not good enough for this level! Granted n'zogbia and duff are injured but we have a international sitting on our bench! Just a few things Roader needs to look at! And we badly need some defensive cover..can i see this happening..probably not...can Roader actually attract players to this club???

Out done by a bit of class from a world class player! Thought we played well tho...passed the ball well at times..just lacked that killer ball. Would have beaten most clubs tonight....unlucky! Not sure about parker, looked slow and his passing was a bit weak at times...emre is much better playing along side butt which wud have alowed us to play an extra front man or dyer in behind martins! oh well its done now! lol

No chance with crouch...far too expensive and why would he leave liverpool for us?? plus liverpool wouldn't want to let him go! Sibby can do an effective job till summer. A left back would be of more importance tbh. Taylor and Ramage seem to be working up a good partnership...id give them till end of season and then look for a top quality CB in the summer. A target man to cover of even replace Sib would also be important as we dont have anyone else fit who can hold balls up and bring midfielders into play. There has to be someone else other than Viduka tho...lets be honest he's had his day and is also lazy (in other words a bit shit!)....Peter Crouch...what a good signing that would be but yes very unlikly unless liverpool have other strikers in mind in Jan?

Yes pattison...at least you'll get some good effort from the lad if nothing else. Good point about Rossi tho....maybe it'l benifit us in Jan with a possible LOAN move for brown or Silvestre and show Sir Alex we are not messing him about not playing loanie players??

I'd say a new left back is top priority in Jan...babayaro was again poor tonight plus we dont have the cover...ramage is usless at left back also...keep him at centre half. Watched the Wigan v Arsenal and Baines was excellent....great tackler...good passing and drives forward with a good shot.....surely we must try to prize him away from the JJB!!! I wish people would shut up about Luque, he's going its obvious...may aswell let players who are staying get some premiership experience!!

Don't think we'll be spending much money at all during the january window...maybe 2 or 3 mill if that.....more likely to be a couple of loan signings (Viduka) or Pressly on a free until roader can sit down and asses at end of season. Loan signings for Wes Brown and Alan smith would be excellent but i'll bet all my money Sir Alex won't do loan business again this season after the rossi debarcle. Young players such as bains and bent and A.young would be over priced and why would chelsea want to sell or loan their cover at LB in Bridge???! Im just intregued who Glenn brings in and i think its inevitable luque will be on his way and possibly a surprise with Milner finally moving to Villa to raise some much needed cash (hope this dosn't happen btw!)

Agreed...i think if we play the 'right way' it would work....we do have the tendancy at times to play long balls out of defence...mentioning no names...bramble!! Dean Ashton would be a good buy i think..a young, up-and-coming english striker who plays in the mold of Shearer. Also would Liverpool, with all this takeover business be tempted in bringing Owen back...they could certainatly afford it now with even an inflated price??

Martins and Owen up front together when fit....would it work?? We all know how effective a target man is in the premiership...just look how well sibby (target man) and martins are doing!

Agree...solano and emre along with sibby, martins and butt have been our best players the last month...will miss them badly!! Our strength in depth at the back is piss poor....we gunna have to put up with that over weight excuse of a player carr now....gawd!!! Please buy some new defenders glenn please!!
