All 'Mackems are promoted as champions' posts in here
Troll replied to Superior Acuña's topic in Football
I love how Keane was mouthing off saying they could beat Chelsea, then they went and lost their next game to Colchester. I'm not worried, the mackems have won their league before and come up before going straight back down. -
Where does it say that? I thought it applied to all competitions this season. Has anyone complaining about Berbatov actually seen him play, or have you just looked at his goals tally (which is pretty impressive as it is)? He's a fantastic player and has so much more to his game than just goals. I'd swap him for Martins or Owen in a heartbeat.
-
Berbatov deserves his place for sure. If you ignore penalties, he's the 2nd highest scorer this season. On top of that, he's an excellent all-round striker and has a lot more to his game. Whereas if you look at Martins, what has he done this season apart from his goals?
-
Funny how you put Riise when most Liverpool fans would say he's been their weakest player this season.
-
If I was a professional footballer I would. You'd be earning silly money anway, and if these offer more protection than normal pads then aren't they worth it?

Saw N'Zogbia at St James using the cashpoint by the box office. Saw Shearer at my uni. My mate saw Bramble sitting in a pub on his own looking depressed.
-
There's no way we'll make it now. Not enough games left.
-
Great player, but we should get rid because it's not going to work out for him here.
-
I'd be a glory hunter and support Man Utd or Liverpool or whoever was winning stuff. It'd be a nice change from this club.
-
Would the manager be allowed to buy players during the transfer window? Seeing as Owen loves playing for England, they should sign his clone from Newcastle and play him up front twice.
-
So the general opinion seems to be that with the right manager, England could be up there with Bolton Wanderers!

The atmosphere is usually great in the Leazes, but I prefer the view in the Milburn.

http://www.betfred.com for one. http://www.totesport.com do it too. Loads of them do it.

Here's a tip someone told me about: You know how most bookies will give you a free bet after you bet so much? Say, for example, Betfred will match a £25 bet with a free bet. Well stick a £25 bet on something, and at the same time, lay the same bet on Betfair. That way, no matter what the outcome is, you'll break even (or be very slightly down). Then you do exactly the same with your free bet, then you can withdraw it! Free money! Practically every online bookie has an offer like this, so there's lots to be made. Alternatively, you could be like me and have already gambled away the free bets.

Don't support any foreign teams. I have teams that I like watching because they play good, exciting football, but I don't give a toss if they lose or anything. It's also usually the better teams that do that in the leagues - I enjoy watching the likes of Barca, Milan, Inter, Juventus, Arsenal (do they count as foreign? ), Valenica, Seville, etc. No link to any foreign clubs though, so I don't support anybody. I kind of have a soft spot for Borussia Dortmund because I went to one of their home matches about 10 years ago too.

A fiver on Man Utd at 8/13 and £2 on a Man Utd/Chelsea double. Wish I'd bet more on Manure now, but £9 up's not too shabby.
-
U.K. company though. In that case, Liverpool, Villa and Man Utd should be made to play at least 3 Americans, Chelsea 3 Russians and West Ham at least 3 Icelandic players tbh.
-
Before the match I'd have bitten your hand off if you'd offered me a point, but after it I couldn't help but feel disappointed.
-
Butt was who they announced at the match. How many MOM awards are there?

Yes - Reading and Pompey did not apply according the the bbc article which I'll look for in a minute. As long as 8th and 9th are those teams and the FA Cup final is between Man Utd and Chelsea then 10th will do.

£5.50 on Birmingham, Derby, Oxford and the scum for tomorrow (6 doubles, 4 trebles and 1 fourfold). Then £2.50 on England to win the cricket today (got 7/2) and £2.50 on Ponting being Australia's top batsman (5/2).
-
And anyway - he's the future of this club! He's going nowhere!
-
If the positions stay the same, we're in Europe.

3 points will be enough, we have Watford on the last day of the season who will be already down and have nothing to play for.
