I wouldn't change much, maybe swap Martins for Viduka up front and get Enrique in there.
-
Might be something to do with their finishing positions over the last couple of years.
-
I was reading up on Cacapa, and his injury record must be terrible - he's played fewer games in his career than James Milner, depsite being 10 years older.
-
Faye is nailed on as one of the starting defenders, the real question is who is his best partner?
-
I live in Newcastle but I'm not a Geordie.

A midfield of Duff/N'Zogbia, Geremi, Barton and Milner looks pretty strong on paper, I'd like to see those four given a few games in a 4-4-2. When you have a three man midfield and two of them are Butt and Smith it doesn't look anywhere near as good.
-
Beye Cacapa Faye Enrique We should stick with that back four and give them time to gel and learn to play with each other. Cacapa and Faye looked like the best CB partnership we've had this season and the other two are our best real full backs. We need to stick with them and stop changing everything every match.

What other foreign managers are there with Prem experience? Jean Tigana? Jose Mourinho.

Below us?

He does give interviews, just not to the BBC.
-
But they're winning games so don't need to criticise every single thing he does.
-
I like this idea. Everyone says they want him to get some experience before he manages here, and this is the perfect opportunity.
-
Seeing as I reckon he'd have taken the job if he was offered it - how would people have voted differently if Eriksson was on the list?
-
Unless Ashley think he can gets someone world class in (and I mean the likes of Mourinho rather than Jol), I'd give Sam till the end of this season no matter what. I'd also give him next season too, but I'd expect European qualification from that. I'm all for giving him time, but how much? Five years is too much, I think two years is long enough for him to produce results.
-
Yeah, the Reading and Sunderland games were a huge season highlight. EDIT: I forgot the Portsmouth game. Jesus wept. I think he was talking about home games there. Two matches ago we beat Spurs 3-1.
-
It sounded like the boos were for Sam for taking him off, not for Charlie.

There's no way Owen's worth less than Dyer.

Cacapa (yes, I was at the Pompey match), N'Zogbia, Owen.
-
With our complete lack of creativity in the midfield earlier this season (Smith, Butt, Geremi), I don't know why he wasn't played in the centre instead of one of them.
-
I was stuck on a train for hours too long because of signal faliure in York, and missed the game because of it. I was refreshing the bbc website live update on my phone every 10 seconds.

Like this? "Rubbish" "The reaction from my team was the most disappointing I've seen up to now, particularly at St James'," "For me it's about rolling my sleeves up and making sure the fans don't see that kind of performance again this season."

Does anyone on this forum understand sarcasm?

Six million for Smith is a bargain when you consider Chopra cost five and Bent cost seventeen.
