Henry will be 31 at the end of next season, he's not going to become any better, and most likely his game will drop. Bent is seven years younger and probably hasn't even peaked yet. Plus all his goals and performances as yet were for Ipswich and Charlton. With some better service he can only be more successful.

The actual money dontated is not going to make a difference - it'll be a million or so. Split that between all the nurses in England and it won't be a lot. The whole reason they're getting footballers to donate is to raise awareness and put pressure on the government. Nurses have been offered a 2.5% payrise - this is below the rate of inflation so they will actually be worse off than before.

Taylor is definitely captain material, but not yet. Maybe when he has more experience, but not at his age. I think the armband had a hugely detrimental effect on Reo-Coker at West Ham, and whilst I think Steven has a good head on his shoulders, I'd not put that kind of pressure on anyone that young.

Most promising defensive midfielder in the world IMO. Just because Curbs rates Quashie higher, doesn't make it right. He was outstanding in the World Cup and has been great when I've seen him for Liverpool so far.
