Living away from home, this forum is my last connection with the club. If it wasn't for this place, I'd barely give the club a thought.

They are the lucky ones. They will be free from it within the next few 1-3 years. We are stuck with Ashley for potentially another 10 years +.

Couldn't agree more.

I find strength in the fact that every defeat puts pressure on Ashley. Does it though? It might get a few more people shouting at him, but no one is going to want to buy us if we are looking like relegation. I have to believe that it does put pressure on him. I do believe that the meal and claim that he wants Rafa to stay is the beginning of him panicking that relegation, and reduced TV money, is looming.

I've never heard that little story before.

Only Ashley leaving will ever improve our situation so on that basis, the Grim Reaper.

It is a simple game. Mourinho simply hoyed loads of multi million pound international players on and won the game. If it's so simple I don't know why we're discussing tactics in the first place. Surely a team assembled with ten times the money will beat us every time. Yep. They would. It's naive to think it's as simple as 'Keep attacking and we'll win'

Probably one of dozens of burners he uses.

He had two private security men and a dozen police officers with him to walk two yards man...........he's had far less protection around him at games recently. Aye, I guess I have watched too many politicians getting pelted without any consequences. Ashley would definitely press charges, the soft cunt. Someone suggested on here the other night that he was probably hoping for some kind of physical confrontation. I agree with that and while in that moment, I would have loved to see him getting smacked, in the long run, it was a win for the fans to avoid an act of violence.

except who the hell is going to buy the club in the championship bleeding money. The only vague hope of it being sold is in the prem I think NUFC will never be short of suitors who can see the potential for it as a football club. Without the TV money coming into the club, it's the best chance we've got of Ashley cutting his losses and getting out. I dont believe he'll want it if it's losing him money (or not making him money) and he'll never sell it while we are in the premier league as it's making him too much money.

Depends on how much he panics. Whatever we think of him, he'll be aware that next years TV deal money is seriously at risk. Personally I hope Rafa strings him along to the summer, dangling a suggestion of signing a new deal, then just leaves. I'm at peace with the fact that Rafa is going. I hope his last act is to shaft Ashley.

I'm kind of glad it ended up being a defeat tonight. The media would have definitely claimed that any point(s) gained was because of his mid week pep talk.

Rashford should score there. Sitter.

A win is good for Mike Ashley so fuck that. Bring on the expected loss.

Expect Ashley to start shitting it in January. The meal was probably the start of him panicking. To little too late.

Jesus, I'm getting emotional reading those recounts of that Portsmouth goal. Especially that Portsmouth fans story. It will never leave me either. Neither before or after it, have I felt such euphoria at a goal.

They lost. Tickled me.

I don't think we are good enough to even beat a Man Utd team that can't be arsed.
