I don't think there is a man, woman or child who doesn't think we aren't up against it. What's the alternative though ? Just be miserable as sin ? The super optimists just want to believe. It's in a football fan's nature to believe positive things in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. "This year might just be our year" has been a fans mantra since the sport originated.

Ah ok. Sorry. My opinion is the same of them though. Yes, he's very much Liverpool but I think he garners so much respect, I think the majority would see past that. Especially, if they see their club and team developing. There'll always be a percentage will be blind, just because of the Liverpool connection.

I don't think Liverpool fans hate him now, despite having gone to Chelsea. Chelsea could easily be viewed as a bigger rival to Everton these days.

I think it was Fantail that mentioned yesterday, that Ben Jacobs felt that PIF walked away too soon. I thought that was a staggering point of view to take by Jacobs given that happened months into a process that was only meant to take 2-4 weeks.

Seems obvious to me that he would. I just don't see the Liverpool connection being a barrier for him. Apart from going back to Liverpool, it's the next best thing for him on a personal basis.
