I'm happy with Pardew in the respect that I think he is as good as we are likely to get under Ashley. As has been jokingly referred to in the past, next in line could easily be someone of the calibre of Dave Bassett. Ashley will never employ a manager of the type that the fans would want, so for now, I am forcing myself to be happy that Pardew is probably the best option that we could have. Grim days
