  1. David Pleat of 5Live continually calling him "Benanoon" !
  2. Complete wanker for me. Confirmed. I hope that we shall see nor more comments on this board such as "Well the one person who has been doing his job well is Dennis Wise", which I recall seeing from one or two posters in the past. Good riddance and I hope he never gets a job at a football club again EDIT : Echoing NJS's comment in the KK thread which I have just ready after having posted this
  3. I thought Owen did well in the short time that Kevin was back at the club.
  4. Just out of interest, how? We knew they lied to the press and fans, went above KK's head, etc. long before this verdict came out. the you tube shit> than what we expected tbf. nobody was itk about that, also proves allt he itks are full of beans. + I dont think any of us would have expected them to spunk £1 million on a player who was never expected to play whilst at the same time completely failing to strengthen the first team.
  5. Doubtful, that's just business. There does seem to be something dodgy about this player and his agent though. Bought by Valencia (against their manager's wishes) after doing fuck all for Monaco and then being immediately loaned to us (against our manager's wishes). Doesn't seem normal to me. I must admit I hadnt realised he had gone to Valencia against their managers wishes too
  6. I guess in the eyes of the law, then its not, hence the tribunal didnt follow it up. The agent must benefit in some way however, otherwise how could it have gained the club preferential treatment in the future. Either way, if the club do something to get preferential treatment in the future, surely that is classed as bribery in some form?

    RIP sale thread.

its even made it to the top of BBC Teletext Football page
  8. as i've already posted this deal ought to be investigated by the FA/FIFA/UEFA. It must be classed as bribery
  9. So Ashley going for Beckham is OK. Keegan going for Lampard/Ronaldinho/Henry is fanciful and unrealistic. I just think the whole lot of it is newspaper garbage EDIT :Cheers for finding that Bovine
  10. The only name that I felt he may have bandied about was Beckham. I really could have seen Keegan approaching him. He is approaching the end of career. With the whole England/World Cup thing, i think the prospect of some form of return to the Premier League may have been a reason for him to at least talk to Kevin. However, what doesnt fit in, especially in light of what came out about the "Commercial" aspect of the Nacho deal, is that I would have been amazed that Ashley would have laughed at that one. Even he could have spotted the Commercial benefit of having Beckam at the club. Even if it was some form of loan deal EDIT : I know Beckhams name isnt in that NOTW report but I thought I recalled his name being mentioned somewhere
  11. Perhaps he felt it was such a ludicrous statement, he didnt for 1 second, feel that anyone would consider it to be fact. In all honesty, do you reallly think, taking one name out of there, that Keegan felt we had a chance of signing Frank Lampard ? Personally I dont. Keegan is a dreamer and an optimist but I dont think he is that stupid. EDIT : I am certainly not labelling you an Ashley lover
  12. Does anyone happen to have a link or a copy of the story that came out about the whole Lampard/Henry signings etc ?
  13. My, what a hard-hitting, probing interview that was. Keegan could have written those questions himself. What else do you want him to answer that wasnt proved at the tribunal ?
  14. One of the things that has always annoyed me about Ashley is why he didnt just replace Keegan and carry on with his vision of taking NUFC forward. Is it possible, that he immediately decided to sell up because he knew Kevin was going to show up him and his cronies up as the charlatans that they are? Did Mike Ashley know right there and then that KK had him all ends up ?
  15. What a truly sensational signing he has been for us. Cheers Sam
  16. I bet he has to sell £5m worth of players first though.
  17. First time I heard him speak since he left Think he appreciated that him as NUFC manager isnt going to happen again now
  18. Make sure you dont channel hop, even for a second, or else you will miss it.
  19. Come on MOTD man. Its one thing highlighting Burnley as "Jekyll and Hyde" to look at the difference between their home and away form but the least you could do was pick up on the fact that they have played Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs away from home (plus Stoke how have proved to be also very strong on home soil).
  20. Good win for Hull today. Keeps him in the job just that little bit longer
  21. I would love it to be true
  22. Well what do you know, are the club feeing the press bullshit to try and make themsleves look better in the light of Fridays findings ? I think we should hold onto that story until January
