So Ashley's way of robbing money out of the club, is by paying money into it...great stuff. You think he will pay the club the going rate for the advertising... or might he be getting a whole ton of advertising on the cheap using NUFC as its vehicle

I'd rather have seen somebody in now who was planning for the future of the club rather than looking to find a buyer. If we sell in the summer then we'd need to spend a lot of money to avoid dropping back out of the division. From the day promotion is gained, how long would it take to sell? I would be confident that we would not be in a position to strengthen the squad in the August window so goodness knows what kind of position we would be in by the January window. It would be a huge struggle for us survive that first season back in the premier league

I cant think who would want to put their name to us at the moment. Surely any decent Commercial Department wouldnt touch us with a barge pole - even less so want to deal with Mike Ashley and Derek Llambias. Its going to be a porn channel or something isnt it.

true but I wonder if Shearer was managing us atm and had exactly the same set of results and performances etc would he be getting as much stick as Hughton, we are top of the league so he's doing something right obviously I think Shearer would be getting stick if he was doing everything exactly as hughton is. I think most people like Chris Hughton but there is a background anger at what his appointment would represent and that, unfortunately for Chris, is affecting the general opinion of what he is doing with the team.

I have very little faith that Hughton has continued the one-to-one coaching that Shearer and Dowie started. Caulkin claimed in a lengthy article the other day that Shearer's idea of them all eating together (as they did under Sir Bobby) had already gone out of the window, as had the series of fines for being late to training and stuff. That's very disappointing if true
