Keegan vs Ashley and Co case settled - KK awarded 2m
Robster replied to Taylor Swift's topic in Football
I am pretty sure Kevins lawyers would have kown that the £2 million clause (was it 14.8?) was going to be upheld. As has been mentioned, I feel that the £25 million bit was used as leverage to make the thing public and to allow Kevin to clear his name fully. Loss of earnings is a very difficult thing to prove in court and I am sure that had he genuinely sought that kind of figure, his lawyers would have advised against it. P.S. I have no connection with the legal industry but I was in court recently where a client of ours tried to counter-claim against us for loss of earning and profit and the judge almost laughed at him and it highlighted to me that you have to have so much back up if you are ever going to go down that road. -

You cant surely believe the Lampard et al stories ? i didn't believe the £25mill claim stories either. Do you think Kevin wanted the money or that that figure was used, as a means of bringing the matter to a public head so that he could clear his name and let the public know what he had been dealing with. -

Was this ever in doubt? i couldn't believe people were doubting the man and taking Ashley's side in this case. There was a third side, the club itself, which some people felt more important than either Keegan or Ashley. It's hard to understand I know, everything has to be black and white for some. Thanks to Keegan, the poison that is Mike Ashley has been flushed out sooner rather than later. Another "Yes Man" type manager may have sat back and let Ashley work his shite for years. Thanks to Keegan proving what an absolute set of wankers they all are, it has forced Ashley to sell the club on So Keegans victory is for the long term benefit of the club. So Keegan Win = Club long term win -
I havent got chance to read this now but by fuck I cant wait to log on tonight and see the comments on here

Cubaricho - any of the names mean anything to you at all ?
-
I am sure UV will reply properly but didnt he say "net" spend. Yet you didnt take the outgoings into account
-
you wouldnt think it possible for something like this to happen to a Premiership club
-
With employers like this, you blame Kevin for struggling to be able to deal whatever he had to work with day in day out?
-
Thats all a bit wishy washy to be honest. Its not as if we are celebrating him snapping both legs in half rendering him unable to walk for the rest of his life. The guy has sustained yet another niggly little injury in the circumstances which appear to be similar to those that made NUFC fans cynical of the little shithead in the first place. He deserves nothing less than total contempt from us - balances out for the total contempt that he holds for us. You think he didnt laugh when Blackpool beat us last week ?
-
This could be our first chance to find out. Possibly Michael's first example as a Man U player of him doing everything he can for the England cause.
-
Cant wait to hear him justify what Capello saw of him tonight
-
Shite penalty. Good reaction from Harewood. No massive celebration. Just get back to the middle and look for more. Pity it didnt happen but still, right attitiude.
-
Didn't train yesterday apparently. Being cynical one could propose he only said he was fit because Capello was there. Being cynical one could also propose there's no way he'd have even attempted to play for us in a similar situation... Called that spot on there.

On the clubs web site, in the list of player profiles, it states as number 12 - "Fans". WTF ! Corny as hell that. http://www.bcfc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10327,00.html

Same type of bloke that thought he had all the experience and talent to be an excellent Executive Director of Football. i.e. Utter dickhead.
-
Yup. Sounds like avoiding defeat would be some sort of accomplishment from the game.
-
Nice ! Sounds unwarranted, but nice !
-
In front of Capello as well. Unlucky.
