Mike Ashley.... Newcastle United. Completely fucking ruined them
-
99% of all managers in football either walk away because they have a fight with the owners/chairmen or do a shit job and they hang on until the bitter end and wait until they get sacked so they get their compensation. You take a pick about what you find a greater quality in a manager but that bollocks above has just been taken from yesterdays Sun.
-
Man U got Michael Knighton back in the 80's (well nearly anyway) so it can happen to the best of them
-
Are we absolutely sure that we arent part of a new Channel 4 reality show
-
Utter bollox in Rafa's case. Robbie Keane was signed behind his back and he didn't walk out. Sharp got his way though didnt he. 6 months was it Keane lasted ?
-
Said the same thing this week to people at work
-
if he was just a player who had got sent off then yes....but it was more than that rerally wasn't it ? a bit like when you gave examples of clough/ferguson........but neither of them had joey barton and everything that goes with him (oh and by the way clough would often be outspoken in the press about his players and would quite probably have been more outspoken ithan shearer in this instance) Didnt Brian Clough clump Roy Keane in the dressing room ?
-
Everyone seen that interview with Alex Ferguson? It was on the pitch after Aberdeen had just won the Scottiash Cup and Ferguson just went into a rant slagging off the players for their performance. What a cunt. Useless fucker shouldnt have been allowed to manage another club after losing his temper like that on live TV
-
Under no circumstances. I agree. I am a walk over most of the time and I forgive people far to easily in life but I thought you made a good point the other day Dave when you said that we STILL havent heard from him with regards to the cluibs relgation. With him being the captain thats unforgivable. Dispicable man

I love your confidence mate

I have read that a few times and the only conclusion I can come to is that youre on the wind up
-
Damn him for being polite enough to answer a question put to him by a journalist
-
LA Galaxy would be my bet
-
Do you think that 5 months later nobody would want him? I cant imagine that being the case, and I dont think he would think that either, he knows how highly rated he is. Perhaps thats a decision he had to make. Also, we can hardly blame him for the transfer window being in January. For all we know he might have wanted to leave when the KK thing kicked off but there was nothing he could do until January. I seem to remember him being one of the players openly being supportive of Kevin at that time - I think that that could well have been the final straw for him.
-
As far as he was concerned, the opportunity for one last move might not have come around in the summer. Despite having been at NUFC for as long as he had, and having won FUCK ALL, I think its harsh that the fans begrudge him one last chance to win something
-
Who are favourites ?
-
I have never quite understood that. We had half the season left. Anyone leaving in January hardly affects the end result of getting relegated. If we didnt have the squad to cope with him leaving thats the clubs fault.
-
If Shay Given, a player who played in some fucking shite NUFC teams yet hung around and helped us battle against potential relegation, isnt allowed to have an opinion, who is ?

Story in the Daily Mail said he paid £3 million to say "Fuck Off" to Paul Kelmsley in the film... or something like that.. someone quickly read the story out to me at work
-
If Freddy Shepherd comes back I think its a very fitting end to the pantomime that has been the last 2 years It wouldnt do for NUFC to get another person in charge. We HAVE to do the daft thing and get the previous guy in who helped put us in the mess that we are now. Its the way we do things You all know its going to happen. Its written in the stars.
-
Yeah, probably. The thing is I always strongly criticised Shepherd for his mistakes in the latter years of his regime but a period away from the club might have given him time to reflect on what went wrong. He can't possibly be stubborn or stupid enough to believe the finances were hunky-dory at the time he left, and the appointment of Allardyce probably confirms that. Allardyce turned out to be a shit manager but the thinking behind it and the timing/manner in which he was appointed was fairly sound iyam. Would he do things differently this time around is the question. Championship might be better for him because he wont even get close to having the opportunity of wasting money on high earners like Michael Owen

Tough call because as each day goes by, the feeling of "will someone, anyone, please just save us from this hell" grows stronger. Desperation is a dangerous emotion though
