He didn't buy them though did he? Plus... judging by the reports I have heard today, getting them to play better and getting them to create more chances. We tore Blackburn to fucking shreds today. As I said in the pub afterwards, biggest footballing robbery since 1-4 against Fulham when Crossley looked like Schmeichel on acid. I wasnt there today but I was at that Fulham game... thats given me a good idea of what it was like

We also have the most pressure on us because I think its fair to say we would be the most noteworthy team to get relegated. I bet The Daily Mail already has their back page banner headline ready to be printed

I was scared about 5/6 games ago as I sensed this coming. Feeling has now developed into resignation so the fear factor has long since gone and today result(s) was/were met with a combination of anger and a shrug of the shoulders. The thought of Wigan, Sunderland, Bolton, Birmingham staying up when we go down is just a truly horrible horrible thing. How the fuck can we be worse than them - and I make no apologies for the arrogance.

Relegation - will we or won't we? *NO FIXTURE LISTS PLEASE*

Doesn't exist, mate. If we keep at it we'll stay up. If we think we're fucked regardless, then we'll be down. Simple as that really. Yeah I know. Clutching at straws really in desperation. -

Am I missing the point here but surely the only thing missing from today's performance was a couple of goals from Owen. from what I have read and heard, we played well and created quite a few GOOD chances that Michael should be hanging his head in shame about. Le Tiss, who I usually dislike, was very complimentary and seemed speechless that we hadnt won. People are all moaning about Butt Barton and Smith, and KK's team selection today but had Owen put a couple of those away, the posts on this thread would be very different - so the BBS factor had nothing to do with what happened today I think we will go down as I think that fortune is against us... we play shit we lose.... we play well we lose.... it just written in the stars. -
arsehole twitching time

few people said that wouldnt be the worst result to get They're not wrong there like. I think if we had been offered a draw along with a performance that was positive and quite a few chances were created... quite a few would have taken it

Taking their chances

Wont it be more to do with having a go at Birmingham and not at Eduardo directly ?
-
It's a tad hard to be optimistic. Need I remind you of our last few second half performances? Aye I know but today is another day... chin up, chests out
-
Glad you lads arent giving the half time team talk
-
I dont like it when a page on this thread gets full and instead of scrolling down, it click the "Go Down" button.... I think that should be re-phrased... at least until May
-
I thought it sounded like we played ok in that first half ??
-
Nerves... to be expected
-
Agree. What ever we think about the team. Continuity has to have some kind of positive effect
-
no doubt he is watching our game as well
-
No chance KK can make him better ? Hardly worked under inspirational managers so far
-
I cant see us being beaten no more this season. (Hows that for optimism?)
-
Agreed... We will win today! You have to love us Newcastle fans and our never dwindling optimism

Never heard the guy speak but I would guess the language barrier rules him out of candidacy of being captain.
-
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA Then who is ? Like the captaincy question.... no stand out candidate for "best player".
-
But does it really matter who wears the arm band? If there was a natural captain on the field then their personality would bring them to the fore. John Terry would appear to be the captain for Chelsea no matter who wears the arm band because he comes across as their natural leader. You shouldnt have to have 1 player to look to for inspration or to lead... you should inspire and motivate each other. For me, the armband wearer just leads the team out and just just a kind of PR exercise. Michael Owen, being our most world-widely known player fits that bill perfectly.

I reckon he is playing on it now. Was funny at first but I think he probably plays to the audience now Seems a decent fella though and not full of all the usual football shite. Seems honest enough
