The quick run of games for them could work totally against us. They won 3-1 today, then if they beat W Ham on Wednesday, they will be right up for it. I always feel that if your winning games, you feel like you can and want to play every day. What will maybe work for us is if W Ham get something in mid-week. Rafa will be even more focused on making sure they go through at Milan that their team will be very under strength (certainly no Gerrard or Torres) Mind, their under strength is probably still too strong for us, and given our recent history there, I am still going for a comfortable Pool win. Goal would be good though. Time to think of the Brum game. (local for me so I am shitting it ever more than just the fact that its a 6 pointer). I am still getting battered over the Villa result. Yup. The level of basic technical ability throughout our starting eleven yesterday was laughable. Yet he still managed to get them creating a hatfull of chances. If we survive, and he clears this lot out and gets better players, this place will go fucking bonkers again

It just gives us some hope though and something to cling on to. Think back to under Allardyce when we were not even creating any chances away to Derby and Wigan. If were in that position now, then we really would be up the creek without a paddle

Will we get more than 3 out of the next 30 bearing in mind that the fxitures arent quite as frightening as they have been (only just). ?? The key fixtures are at home to other relegaion candidates. We can win those games but not if we play them on their terms. I am just not sure I have enough faith that we can come out on top in these games. I tend to think we never win these kind of games but that could just be the pessimist in me

I wouldn't count spurs as out of the woods yet either. They've already qualified for Europe next season, their league finish doesn't really matter. They're chasing a cup in Europe, they're 7 points off the relegation zone, still got a couple of difficult games and plenty against the relegation fodder. Some teams might see spurs as there for the taking, expecially if they get an injury to Woodgate and/or King. Its a nice thought but naaah.., they are well clear. Especially when they get half of their first team back that didnt play today Cheers Ramos you cunt

Out of all the other teams at the bottom (excluding the bottom 2 who I presume we are treating as down), we are now the only ones not winning any games so the answer would be no... we are not capable of finishing above any one of them.... depressing

Thats all fine and well mate if we were safe from relegation but we're not and we still got no points! I'm not saying it was a satisfactory result, obviously. I'm referring to the people who think we were s*** again today. We clearly weren't. We need a major break. An OG, a dodgy penalty/offside decision, a huge deflection. I'd almost go as far as to say if we'd won today (as we deserved to) we'd have been safe. If you believe in luck or that kind of thing then thats 2 games that KK has had where in reality we should have won but things just havent gone our way (Boro & Today). How significant an extra 5 points for us would be as we sit here tonight With those extra five points you speak of I would almost be confident enough to state that we won't go down such is the quality (or lack of) in the league this season. I agree. I would be feeling comfortable right now as well. Just shows how important luck can be.
